The whole vince hates jr thing is completely overblown. For starters vince made jr vice president and the second most powerful man in the company for a minute. How many people wish vince would hate them like that?

Vince definitely grew uncomfortable with his body and bells pallsy, but thats just image. Yeah vince has done some ridic things to him on air, but hes done far worse to himself and his own family.

I don't really think it's hate. More like they are an easy target for the bully side of his personality. I believe he does tend to look down on southerners, though.

This is a good point. Vince is a gotdamn fool... he's made himself look like a complete jackass on TV for the sake of the show, so surely he doesn't think anyone else in the company should be immune to it.

Also, JR works as a face the same way Vince works as a heel. Nobody in the crowd gives a shyt if Michael Cole gets beat down in his hometown, or if Josh Matthews gets fired. Only JR gets that kinda sympathy. So it always works when he's the victim of a heel, just like it always works when Vince gets made a fool of.

I've always thought people went overboard with that "OMG how dare he treat JR this way" thing... but it also speaks to how much people love JR. If it was any other announcer besides maybe Lawler getting done like that, nobody'd bat an eye to it.

I don't think Vince necessarily hates him, but I think he takes his kindness for weakness in order to take advantage of him. Vince (in his twisted way) probably looks at Ross as a friend who will do anything for the business. And he uses that to put JR in humiliating storylines over and over. Either JR has to be the kindest man in the WWE or the softest, cuz some of the shyt he has had to do, would have had me fired on the spot. Had JR looking like less than a man out there a lot of the time.
