There was no expectation for MP from the jump.

The Last of Us 2's Missing Multiplayer Explained
It was clearly very much expected.
It's my favorite singleplayer AND multiplayer. Can't wait.

No multiplayer is disappointing. It actually worked in TLOU and forced teamwork. This is a copout IMO.

shyt ain't gonna be the same without multiplayer :mjcry:

yo, are we getting online multiplayer or not? :mjtf:

these nikkas taking forever with this shyt

And there lies what I’m talking about.

Just excuses and passes for Sony games for “reasons” from you stans.

Somehow you’ve twisted your logic to claim one game with more content that costs less money is “incomplete” while another that’s missing an entire half of the game is just fine and when they finally finish the missing part it will be “extra” even though you gotta pay for it separately.

Sony stan Koolaid is a muthufukka:wow:

This is simple but yet you guys are making it seem more complicated than it is.

The game is announced that MP will be a standalone title nine months before release.

The game is known primarily for it's SP first and foremost. The MP was a nice addition to the first game anyway. It's not like they said the MP isn't going to be there at launch and six months has passed and they're still talking about what's going on and it'll take more time. They just straight up said no MP will be there and it will be a standalone title being the key differentiator.

Halo's MP is a huge part of the game and the game was delayed for a year. It's out now and six months later the game is still underwhelming content wise compared to its predecessor's which launched with way more content day 1.

Halo 3 launched with 11 maps, forge mode and co-op. That released in 2007.

Halo Infinite launched with 10 maps, no forge and no campaign co-op. On top of that the game was delayed for an entire year so what were they going to release it as had it dropped with the Series X's launch?

It sucks TLOU 2 didn't have MP but it was already told to us way in advance and we had expectations set. Halo Infinite is out NOW and it's expectations are being set on demand in real time. They literally just mentioned the upcoming content after SIX months is one BTB map and one arena map along with some cosmetics... Really? That's a MID midseason update.

Heck, TLOU 2's faction mode if it's even called that is probably going to be an entirely different scope compared to the first game so if that's the case the comparison would be even more lopsided.

Speaking of, does TLOU1 multiplayer still get a lot of action? I've never tried it since I don't usually play multiplayer, but I want to

It was announced well before release that Halo multi season 1 would be longer than expected and that Co-Op would come with season 2.

Somehow because naughty dog announced it early it’s ok. But when 343 announced it early somehow people are still “disappointed” 3 months after release:stopitslime:

The game is known primarily for it's SP first and foremost. The MP was a nice addition to the first game anyway.
You yourself were/are a huge fan of the multiplayer. To claim that people didn’t expect it or the game wasn’t “known” for it is to deny your own experience:stopitslime:

Halo Single and Multi are standalone titles as well. They just released at the same time.

They straight up said no co-op at launch.

Halo's MP is a huge part of the game and the game was delayed for a year. It's out now and six months later the game is still underwhelming content wise compared to its predecessor's which launched with way more content day 1.
Somehow y’all simultaneously make the argument that Halo multi is what matters, but it’s a big single player feature missing that makes the game “incomplete”

Make that make sense? :dahell:

And no you are wrong Halo infinite Multi launched with around the same content as every other game, and more than its current competitors.

Halo 3 launched with 11 maps, forge mode and co-op. That released in 2007. Halo Infinite launched with 10 maps, no forge and no campaign co-op. On top of that the game was delayed for an entire year so what were they going to release it as had it dropped with the Series X's launch?
Infinite has 10 maps, things like battle theater, and the training missions etc. more guns, more vehicles, etc.

But none of that stuff matters cause y’all wanna concentrate on the one thing that’s missing.

And halo 3 forge was just a carry over of halo 2 forge.

Infinite forge is a whole new thing. Kinda like TLOU2 multi that you give naughty dog as much time as they want to work on :ohhh:

TLOU2 was delayed multiple times as well. What were they gonna have, had they released on time?:stopitslime:

See how that works? When it comes to Halo y’all weave these goofy narratives, but refuse to apply that same logic to other games

Again they announced this would be the case long before the game came out.

Somehow naughty dogg gets a pass for announcing early then going totally dark, but Halo gets criticized for announcing early and communicating through development.

Heck, TLOU 2's faction mode if it's even called that is probably going to be an entirely different scope compared to the first game so if that's the case the comparison would be even more lopsided.
Halo infinite is an entirely different scope to Halo 3 yet here we are comparing the content they released with :martin:
I’ll end by saying in a vacuum TLOU2 release was just fine. I’m not criticizing the release.

Im criticizing the logic that said that release was just fine, while also bashing Halo for being incomplete.

Y’all apply logic and standards very selectively.

For Sony games/situations there’s always a reason or excuse why it’s ok. For Microsoft it’s always worst case scenario.
