why does the 360 lose exclusives (IGN)

Idk I think why does Playstation lose exclusives would've been better.

To name a few Sony lost:
Devil May Cry
Final Fantasy(to an extent)
GTA
Crash Bandicoot(I know Activision owned him but Sony should've threw some money for that orange nikka)
Tekken
Metal Gear Solid(MGS is like 30% exclusive to Sony)

It's a few more I'm forgetting but Sony done lost a lot of big ass franchises that's now multiplatform. Imagine how much PS3's would've been sold if GTA IV and V was a PS3 exclusive??

You are not talking about the same thing the guys in the video do.
You are talking about games that Sony lost and during PS2. They are talking game series that started on the 360 (current gen) and are now multiplatform.

MSFT had a year head start on Sony this gen...of course they would eventually lose some of those exclusives. They mostly signed 6-month to a year exclusive deals with third parties, but after that, they didn't care where the games went.

The "third party exclusive" is all but dead. Why would 2K Games keep Bioshock exclusive for example? The only way they would is if MSFT paid for it, but MSFT doesn't care about some symbolic "exclusive", from a business perspective, it makes no sense for them to pay out the ass to keep that franchise.

MSFT's problem is a lack of first party developers...they have either dismantled teams (Bizarre, Ensemble) or have them working on bullshyt (Lionhead, Rare, etc). 343 is encouraging, I just hope that they eventually get a chance to make something outside of the Halo franchise (Doubtful).

MSFT must have a HELL of a deal with Epic....you would think that Gears would eventually go third party, but MSFT continues to publish all the games.

Microsoft has plenty of exclusives..it just theyre not focusing on game discs anymore
they are focusing on XBOX LIVE
look at all arcade titles and dlc
all their exclusive channels...espn, hbo go, sesame street kinect, nat geo kinect, etc..and more coming soon..all those cost money to keep them exclusive
they are looking at the big picture..more people are buying xboxes and xbox live for multimedia than games which has a longer longevity than a game
