He started as the lead singer of a pop group with cacs but you're right. He does do country music and he's the only nikka in it, they accept him because he started with a white group but you're right.
Name another 1.
This cat has nearly 30 million views and I haven't heard of him. Labels really buying views.
Because white people support white rappers....
Black people don't/wouldn't support a black country singer
But they're not making a killing from black consumers they're making a killing from white consumers. If not a single black person worldwide bought anything G-Easy's selling he might lose less than 500 dollars.Dame Dash says a lot of shyt I don't agree with but on this he's right. Why is it that we allow people to come get money in our culture but we can't get none in theirs? We should shun cacs out the fukking door unless they're on some Eminem type of level lyrically. Cats who can't make money in their own culture come to ours and make a killing.
Have you ever heard of Darius Rucker, he's a black Country Singer.
nikkas can't have shyt to themselves while whites can have hella shyt to themselves for the most part. Hip hop started as a sound by poor blacks and now whites can come in and have their way with it. Country music derived from blues which was black and now they have that pocket to themselves, along with jazz music and rock and other genres that nikkas created. I don't blame the cacs for coming in and fukking this bytch we call hip hop, I do blame the nikkas for not standing up and shunning these cacs like Action Bronson out the game.I can understand that.
To black people, Country Music is the white music, sadly.
Just like to white people, think Hip-Hop is the black music back then in 80s' - 90s.
I understand OP's point. @Blackthoughts
So, now it's like Hip-Hop isn't black music anymore while Country Music is still white music. It isn't the first time that white steal the black music. They did the same thing with Rock & Roll.
Before Darius Ruckers last album, the only black country singer to have a record chart was Charley Pride in 1983, that's a 1 nikka for every 30 years average@ people naming 1 or 2 black country singers.
The point is, nobody is proclaiming black country singers as the best in their genre, they aren't nearly as popular as white country singers or selling as much.
Wake me up when anyone who isn't a white girl or a redneck CAC likes country music. I know VERY few people outside of females who like country music. I don't know if someone has done a study on this but I'd argue Country Music would be most folks "least favorite" musical genreWake me up when Black people give a shyt about country music first, then we can talk.
You can't have artists in a genre that nobody is checking for....
