God is your own internal voice of reason, the devil is the internal voice of doubt.

God has been know to you your whole life.

I have grown up a believer, and still pretty much am, but sometimes its really hard to make sense of things, such as...

Why is it that we should believe in something that never shows its there? The believers will say that god communicates with you in his own way, but anyone could say that, that is just not factual. My biggest question is why should I believe? Some people say they just "feel it", feel what?

Its like God is telling you I want you to believe in me completely but I will never show you that I am there. :why:, how can anyone say this makes sense?

The mind is an incredible thing and you could start believing in a tree if you read enough myths about it.

Those who believe please tell me WHY it is you believe.

God? Sorry, can't help you. Never met 'em.

Why?

In the name of HOPE. FAITH.

When your back is against the wall and mountains are crumbling before you, can you see hope? Can you see a way out? When your girl of 7 years crushes your heart and life seems not worth it anymore is there anything upon this earth that can take away that pain? How about an earthquake which in 26 seconds took the lives of both your parents, is there any lotto amount that can erase that grief?

The name of GOD teaches you a higher understanding. That even when the earth trembles before you, and what you thought was mighty is cast into the depths of the sea, that EVEN THEN, even though you dont see it, even if you see no possible way out of it, that you put some weight in your step, some courage in your heart and know that IT IS.

If a man in the slums of Ethiopia can crack a smile in the midst of his poverty. If a Haitian can find peace in the midst of rubble is that anything he can see that did that? No, its a higher sight that is of the minds eye.

That is why God pulls you to believe the in unseen:lawd:

For me it was never about feeling good, because emotions and situations change.
it was going through struggles in life, standing at tha apex of death, bein mentally and emotionally broken and lost, then standing up, pickin up tha pieces and start to build all over again, gettin stronger and more experienced in tha process. even if what i rebuilt is destroyed, i can find tha strength 2 keep goin and keep buildin no matter what life throws at me.
also, i never heard of any practical solutions on how to deal with life's troubles from agnostics/athiests and a large majority of religious people. they both seem to be lost and bitter/resentful

"God" doesn't pull you to believe in the unseen.

being constantly surrounded by people who believe in something you're struggling to find a reason to believe in is making you doubt yourself.

Let me put it to you this way:

Imagine you and 9 people going into a room.

You all sit down and someone walks in and holds up 6 cards, one at a time. Each of those cards is a different color. The man asks you all to name the colors at the same time and he holds them up. This experiment is going to go on for 5 days.

Now... when you get to the "Red" card, everyone else says "green". You look at them and wonder what the hell just happened. Everyone is staring at you like you just sprouted a p*ssy on your forehead.

Day 2: same thing. Except this little old lady asks you "are you okay? why are you answering red on the green card?"

Day 3: Same thing!

By day 5, you're either going to answer "green" like everyone else just so you dont feel odd, you're gonna snap and ask why the fukk is everyone calling red "green" or you're gonna wonder if there was some trick or if you've gone color blind.

You'll prolly never look at the color red the same way again.

You see that up there? The person that answers "Green" is the religious person. The person that doubts is Agnostic. The person that still answers red regardless of what the others say they see may as well be a nonbeliever.

And yes, it really is that easy to condition the human mind to think a certain way.

Its the reason why you even call god "God" and not "Buddah" or "Eris".

Believe me, if we were in another country where another religion is prevalent, they'd be calling red "orange" instead of "green" and you'd STILL be wondering what was wrong with your eyes.

This is also the reason why (and christians looove to point this out) athiests in distress say things like "god help me" or "oh god". It's not because of some deep rooted spiritual awakening during time of crisis. Its because you've been conditioned by society to react that way, the same way people curse when they're angry or curse, count and pray in their native language.

these religious threads are really tiring. Atheist spend their days harassing people about their God. And then make topics like this pretending to be a believer and stirring up the same bullshyt.

First, God was entirely GOOD. There was goodness everywhere and all around. In fact because there was nothing else, things were kind of static. His creation lacked aliveness; it lacked the possibility of growth and expansion. You might say it was stuck.

To create change, to create an opportunity for movement and expansion, God had to introduce an Element in his creation that was different from the Goodness that pervaded everything. This was very hard for God, for how can you create something that is not-you? How can Goodness create Badness? It can’t. So, God had to come up with a trick, so to speak. This trick is called ignorance.

Ignorance is the element that opposes Goodness. It creates the illusion of being outside Goodness, of being separated from God. “Not knowing who you are” is the incentive behind change, growth and expansion in your universe. Ignorance breeds fear, fear breeds the need to control, the need to control breeds the struggle for power and there you have all the conditions for “Evil” to flourish. The stage has been set for the battle between Good....

What you are talking about is circumstantial pressure to profess belief in religion. All of which means nothing but following tradition, which leads to performing zombie ritual every sunday that is empty at the heart of it.

What im talking about is spirituality. Not religion. An understanding free from outside influence that, in its essence, calls one to challenge every dramatic emotional mindstate presented to you. in favor of one which any unlearned would believe does not exist.

different angles here friend.

basically all hand waving to distract people from the issue that god doesnt exist. Seems like you want to draw upon the idea of god and good looking phonetically similar. This is one of the most disappointing arguments ever made. If not, the post is still a bunch of words saying nothing.
