TROLL IS LIFE
Budget$178 million[3]Box office$369.2 million[3]
Lmao...I would've never imagined thatthe same reason some people think the new Adam Sandler movie "Pixels" bombed. the media called it a flop on opening weekend to create a story so it must be true. ("Pixels" to date has grossed $203 million on a $88 million budget and it's still in theaters. not to mention the money left to be made in rentals and television rights.)
cause the news is funny.. they pick and choose who they want to promoteBudget$178 million[3]Box office$369.2 million[3]
I agree lolcause the news is funny.. they pick and choose who they want to promote
if they want it to be a flop, they'll give american numbers... oh it cost 100 mil and made 98
if they want to act like it's a god send, they'll give you worldwide.... oh it made a billion worldwide
most movies make the MAJORITY of their money worldwide.... i mean it's only the entire fukking world vs one country... so they just pick and choose what to call a flop or not... depending on who's dikk they wanna suck
The studio did market it pretty badly though.
Bad marketing. Never heard of the movie till I saw it on a flight. shyt was very good. First thing I asked was why haven't I heard anything about this?

how is it a flop when it made over $200M more than it's budget??????
think of it like this: normally for a movie, to get its TRUE budget, you multiply the production costs times 2 to account for marketing. So in reality, this was a 356 million dollar movie that only made 369.2 million so it turned a small profit. a very small one. And even if you don't want to think they spent 178 on the marketing, they at least spent 100 meaning its now a 278 million dollar production that now only made 91million more than it costs. Marketing costs aren't included in that production number presented. That's why Wild Wild West is considered a flop because of the costs to make it plus the costs to market it and it didn't recoup
