Why do you So many people hate Haitians?

Why do so many people dislike Haitians so?


Here are a few instances:


- One of my relatives tells me they over hear a Puerto Rican woman say that the earthquake in Haiti was God's way repaying Haitians for what they did on Hispaniola to the Spanish.

-Recently I was talking to my neighbor's brother in law and a another young PR/DR mixed young female about a Haitian dude with dreadlocks we both know and you should've seen the expression on her face.

- I was recently outside a lounge and these Haitians were tellin' me how all the PRs on their Job hate them.

- As a Haitian gentlemen I knew was walking toward me the African American women I was talking to was expressing her derogatory feelings toward Haitians.

Why the contempt for Haitians by so many?

Real talk though Africans and West Indians are villified cause they aren't American IMHO. For all of the bad stuff that people say have done against AAs, they're seen with more respect as Americans. We're seen as dirty, AIDS carriers, savages, inhumane, scammers, starving and needy, etc...

In my experience, Haitians have been more educated than their haters. Many that I met are studying medicine and are multi-lingual. :sassure:

But yeah...they are unfairly hated on.

Ultimately it's the crab in a barrel mentality.

Same way PRs hate Dominicans. Dominicans hate Cubans. Colombians hate PRs, and Chileans feel like they're superior to them all.

It's the c00n white superiority complex that still plague many ethnic groups today.

Haiti for one is the only true example of black courage and black power. Slaves rose up and defeated the unarguable top world power of the day. Not only that, the statues in Haiti of its heroes, are of black men with black features.

The cac world at large sought and succeeded in suffocating the nation to prove as Thomas Jefferson said these Africans they are savages and cannot rule themselves.

So instead of all these victims of European imperialism banding together and not only supporting each other, but uplifting a indisputable example of black revolution. They instead choose to advocate a c00n crab in the barrel mentality. Oh us Jamaicans are better than Haitians. Nigerians are better than western blacks. Trinis are better than them smelly Jamaicans. Us middle class blacks are better then them nikkas in the ghettos.

All the while these cacs are just looking at us all like just all the same ****** savage who can't formulate nor rule a civilized school, neighborhood, city, or nation

You notice most of the hate comes from people in countries close to Haiti. Which means it's nothing but a classic regional rivalry. Some of these rivalries can be outright hate like Russia and Turkey or just fun ribbing like Ghana and Nigeria. If Haiti was in west africa these Dominicans and PRs would have nothing against them.

My family is from the Carribean and black Carribean countries consider Haiti a brother/sister country. Only Hispanic countries express hatred towards Haiti on a normative basis, and the impetus is racism.

my wife had a haitian friend from ny that she went to school with. she came to our wedding and ended up moving here for a few years. she had 2 kids with 2 different BD's. didn't even know who the 2nd one was. straw that broke the camel's back is she told my wife I was tryin to holla at her when I was taking her over to meet a mechanic I knew to fix her bucket. mind you, at the time, when I was sposed to be tryin to holla @ her, my kid and her kids were in the car the entire time
