yeah bro that's why I said back in the day black people moved on and created new generas...

we played rock n roll back in the fifties up until the early 60s when soul came out...

after we moved on the white boys took that shyt and ran with it...
It's interesting tho. Right there is a shyt ton of cac mumble rappers. Honestly mumble rap is heading in a very emo direction. Listen to the tracks I posted. There are a shyt ton of rappers and producers that are mixing emo vocals and trap beats

I think OP means "non weirdo black bands". Y'all nikkas posting some offbrand nikkas. Where are the folks at like a new generation "the roots" or the band that played on D Angelo's voodoo?

The Blah Blah Blahs...

Grew up with the frontman. Judging from many of the responses, may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like their stuff, and generally support when I can.

Bleed the Pigs' lead singer was Black, after they broke up (one of the men in the band sexually assaulter her), I assumed she was going to form a new bad.
But there really aren't Black bands in the mainstream.
There are groups like Twenty One Pilots, that aren't blatantly ripping off hip-hop sounds and styles and blending them with staid generic pop rock.

nikkas already posted The Internet. There are very few Black rap groups with a band playing, you know how little exposure they would get?
Nothing "offbrand" about other genres that Black people pioneered :gucci:
Y'all would probably think rudeboy and ska punk are weird huh?

I feel that theres a lack of traditional bands b/c singers are just running to whatever label will sign them, but theres still a strong base of talented musicians in the AA community that just dont have mainstream following.

With how easy it is to create music now you would think bands(RnB, Funk, Blues or even Alt) would be a thing still.

:jbhmm:

You partially answered your own question right there.

Everybody's got Pro Tools & Reason, so there's no reason to have to pay a drummer or keyboard player or bassist. Everybody's a bedroom genius now.

Wrong, there's very few musical programs in school. And also we stopped going to church the way we used to.

This is underrated as fukk. A lot of these liberal splish splash motherfukkers underrated the influence of the Black church in every facet of Black life.

Virtually ALL of the great Black musicians & singers come from the Black church.

There's some exceptions, but pretty much all of the great ones we love from Motown etc. . .came from the church

For real, I wanna see some new age Gap Bands, Earth Wind and Fire type shiit.

Dudes posting White bands with a Black singer like.
