^^^It wouldn't make sense for the fighters to wear headgear that whole time then take them off in the Olympics.

10 point must system can still have fighters on that Joe Calslappy steez. Only 3 rounds they would try to bounce around and score more hits than their opponents without getting hit the same way they do now in the points scoring system.

The computerized system that they use now encourages pitty pat punches in order to score.

Some fighters are volume punchers, but moving to the 10point must system will allow for more leeway in punching for damage. lets be reality, if you can throw 75 punches in a row and score on light punches, why would you sit down on your punches and throw for power and gas out?

Completely agree but the old systems were even worse if you could believe it. A few Olympics ago, you had the judges pushing buttons for every punch landed and the numbers were so out of whack. Come to think of it, thats how Roy Jones Jr. lost in '88 though he beat the piss out the other guy.

:snoop: dont remind me breh. That shyt was fukked breh. The whole system needed an overhaul. Im feeling the 10 point must, but i feel like the amateurs still need to wear the headgear

Nah..its gotta be consistent. Either the whole format is headgear on or headgear off. Cant have a guy training with headgear on and then for one fight take it off..shyt would be too weird.

How so, when pros spar they use headgear, but when fight time comes it's regular gloves and no headgear

Yeah, even after all that, they still let the decision stand...

Training and fighting with the headgear, and then boom its off..idk just seems odd to me. Theres no reason to have headgear and then no headgear.

Not that i dont disagree with what you're saying...they are pros though :yehsrug:

Sparring ≠ boxing in an actual match and getting hit directly in the head for the sake of practicing or working on technique is not smart at all. Also headgear prevents cuts, cauliflower ear/ear drum busting and all that.

They should straight up do 12 round boxing in the Olympics no gear. This shyt is like watching two retards fight.

The ignorance in this post is :ohlawd:

If they boxed 12 rounds with no gear the boxing part of the Olympics would take about 3 years to compete because of the rest period needed. :what:

I can tell youve never boxed in your life.

I don't give a fukk. I not wasting my time watch 2 dudes sparring for 3 rounds. No wonder MMA is taking over.
