That was addressed before you even replied. Using Atlanta and LA don’t count. That’s wrong as hell man. When people speak of cities like Atlanta, they mean the entire metro area. The actual city of Atlanta is very small.

So you mean that when you go to Miami Beach, you'll not say I'm in Miami? When you are in Winchester and Paradise, you don't say you are in Las Vegas? No one cares about a metro area. When people speak about a city they are talking about Chicago proper, Miami proper, etc…the actual city. The most popular person in modern history is from Gary and not one time has anyone ever said Michael Jackson is from Chicago.
Miami Beach is within Miami proper. It’s not a separate city, village or township so that doesn’t track. So you mean that when you go to Miami Beach, you'll not say I'm in Miami? When you are in Winchester and Paradise, you don't say you are in Las Vegas?
The strip is in Paradise and Winchester south of Las Vegas.Miami Beach is within Miami proper. It’s not a separate city, village or township so that doesn’t track.
I don’t know those places in Vegas because I stay on the strip when I visit. I know Summerlin and I’m pretty sure that’s technically Vegas but it may be unincorporated or a Township. They may be within the city limits or may not be. If anything it’s a suburb of Vegas and part of the metro area obviously. I don’t think you understand the conversation being had with me though given your response. I’m not saying metro areas don’t exist nikka This is about Gary and people try to rebut me with other cities and I’d oblige the conversation if I’m knowledgeable on the city.
When you’re in Naperville and someone ask you, which Topgolf are you at, are you going to say the one in Chicago?

Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The municipality is located on natural and human-made barrier islandsbetween the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, the latter of which separates the Beach from the mainland city of Miami.
Ah ok cool. So they have separate city govts. I didn’t realize. So my question is, what about this challenges my stance in here. I’m a bit confused. Or are just correcting me about Miami/Beach, which I appreciate? The strip is in Paradise and Winchester south of Las Vegas.

How the city is designed and the reason for the population boom. Like Atlanta, its boom came in the 90s and the city was not designed to accommodate that population and corporate headquarter boom. There literally was just not enough real estate. The perimeter towns turned into what felt like neighborhoods of Atlanta and everything was geared towards that even from the city’s handling of it (except MARTA). It was just very odd and created a city sprawl much like LA always has been because of its size. What makes it different though in comparison to the other cities mentioned (I'm genuinely asking)?
One of the easiest ways to get someone upset from Atlanta. It's always a funny discussion about this in Atlanta. The city is small as hell. nikkas who live on the east side don't actually live in Atlanta. They usually claim Decatur. But the funny thing is, they don't live in Decatur either. They just have Decatur zip codes. They don't live in a city at all. nikkas who live in Gresham Park, Candler-McAfee, Panthersville, Snapfinger, etc. all live in unicorporated Dekalb county.
Your stance was that nobody cares about metro areas, my stance is that sometimes they do.And why ain’t

I agree. Only nitpick is that cube actually is from LA. He isn’t from ComptonYour stance was that nobody cares about metro areas, my stance is that sometimes they do.
Borders and stuff are so arbitrary and technical at times. Mostly relevant for policing and such things, while the culture and public transportation for example might go further than those technical borders.
LA county/metro is such an area. Like who would say that Snoop, Cube, Dre and them can’t be LA representatives because technically they are not from LA
Thought he was from InglewoodI agree. Only nitpick is that cube actually is from LA. He isn’t from Compton
No but Mack 10 isThought he was from Inglewood
This is somewhat incorrect. I expounded further in another post. I said no one that wants to “claim” a city cares about the arbitrary lines. I also said LA was an exception.Your stance was that nobody cares about metro areas, my stance is that sometimes they do.

Nobody in life said this.just like people think Brooklyn and Queens isn’t a part of New York City.
Wow. I had NO idea there was out of towners that thought like this. Like Jay Z, Nas, Biggie, LL aren't considered NYC rappers by some idiots out there?
Jay and Nas battled to be the king of NYC and they are from Brooklyn and Queens respectfully
