Why do so many Black men encourage Black women to be fat under the guise of being "thick"?

Pick oneIJS, if you're the exception that still tells us "thick" women are only preferred by broke men. Even if you got some money, I'm sure being surrounded by men with their size 4 women, abs poking, with REAL thickness (think 90's era Sir-Mix-Alot Baby Got Back thick, not this grotesque Buffy the Body nonsense we see nowadays with fat women being called "thick" by broke dudes) you'll prolly switch up real quick. You only know what you know.

Could a part of it be that since women aren’t seen as desirable when they put on weight that makes them easy pickings?
