North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
If you make more than most people why get mad when you're the first one that gets hit for more taxes? This is like a fundamental :wtf: that I don't understand. If you live in a consumer driven society and less and less people are able to consume, its going to be bad for everyone however globalization has made it easy to do and sustainable.

States appease rich people for fear they will move and take there tax dollars with them which is :mindblown: That right there lets you know that states depend mostly on the top 10 percent of income earners for their tax revenue. It says a lot about the great lengths they go through to make sure they don't leave.

Because President Obama considers single people making over $200,000 to be rich. He has specifically called for raising taxes on singles making over $200,000 and couples making $250,000 every year he’s been office. The idea of the rich that pops into most peoples head is that of the 1%, the billionaires... but policies aimed at "the rich" hit a much more than that 1%.

Because they feel they worked hard to get theirs, so why can't the rest you people do the same thing? The feel why should they have to give up more of their earning to help the rest of the lazy Americans.

In short many of them are just greedy. Funny enough I've heard many celebs/famous people don't mind paying more taxes.....it's these regular rich people who inherited family wealth or who have supreme paying jobs b/c they knew someone in power that seem to have the problem.

There aren't 3 million billionaires in America.

I said the idea that rushes to mind :comeon:Not that there are 3 million billionaires.

But I appreciate the scrutiny :salute:

I don't think people necessarily think of only Warren Buffet, Bill Gates types when they think of "the rich" though.

Someone earning $200,000 p.a is rich breh. They might not consider themselves rich, but they are. That level of income probably puts you in the top 0.1% of people on the planet. Living more comfortably than 999 out of 1000 of your fellow human beings doesn't count as rich?

250,000 is rich? I always disagreed with that.

Heck I've heard people say those who make 100 K are rich

Where exactly are these tax dollars going should be the question
