The thing is that Republicans are much, much easier to make fun of. The off the wall shyt that they spew is comedic gold.
True. However, Democrats can be comedic gold too at times. However, Republicans demand such fierce loyalty to their ideology that they would never know or see the skits that make fun of Democrats.
I work with a 50-year-old white guy, staunch hardcore conservative - votes straight Republican ticket every time, no if, ands, or buts. Anyhow, he wouldn't watch the SNL skits on the 2008 presidential campaign because they made fun of Sarah Palin. I tried hard to explain to him that they make fun of all politicians. He wouldn't listen and wouldn't watch. He just assumed, like most right wingers, that if you make fun of any conservative then you must be a flaming liberal. I mean, how can you be conservative and laugh at a conservative?
In any event, SNL had a mock debate between Hillary and Obama. The moderator would ask Hillary an obscure question that damn near no one would know the answer to. Hillary would give it a good shot, but alas her answer would be wrong. The moderator would give her the correct answer right in front of Obama. Then the moderator would turn to Obama and ask him the exact same question and Obama would repeat back what the moderator just said, in an unsure tone of voice. The moderator would tell Obama that he was right and that he won that round of questioning. Basically what SNL was intimating is that Obama was an empty suit being spoon fed the answers during his debates with Hillary. Conservatives probably have no idea SNL ran this skit right up under their nose. It shows conservatives are every bit as biased as they claim the MSM is.
