The issue is that their is a difference in how something is reported when a republican does something versus a democrat. Fox News is outnumbered by all the other media outlets regardless if they are number one in cable you have print and local news outlets. Studies have shown the frequency and tone is different when reporting bad news for a democrat and bad news for a Republican. When Bush was in office every day there was some war story reported when Obama got elected even though the wars were stillin effect the stories stopped. So narratives are created and since most people don't have time to become policy hawks they tend to just follow narratives and media controls narratives through for instance polls done with unrealistic democrat samples that have them +14(that's insane)

Republicans have won despite this but...imagine if news reported on equal footing without bias.

What's funny is the more right-wing the media has gotten over the years, from the striking down of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987, to the rise of Fox News, and the internet, which is an open playing field, the more these bytches cry about the "librul media."

The media not left-wing. Outside of Fox, the media leans socially liberal, and probably leans toward the Democratic party. But it is not left-wing in any meaningful way. They are pro-corporation and pro-government. They're pro-corporation, as they are owned by large corporations, and collect revenue from the large corporations that advertise on their programming. And they are pro-government because they bend to power for access and will sheepishly back down whenever the patriotism or national security card is played.

Have you tuned into MSNBC, lately?

Or Current TV?

Actually the most obvious example of liberal bias is late night TV. Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien etc. Those guys have a way bigger effect on how politicians are viewed than traditional news channels.

For God's sake, Obama is the first president in American history that comedians refuse to tell jokes about.

they're all comedians. I'm hard pressed to even think of a popular conservative comedian. Dennis Miller I guess. that's kinda interesting...

Something must be seriously wrong with my television. I could have sworn that Jon Stewart ripped Obama a new a$$hole during the DNC week. Then after that he ripped Obama again for the speech he gave at the UN and for being the first president to not meet with foreign leaders during the UN convention. In fact, I wouldn't have even known that Obama broke tradition by not meeting with any foreign leaders if it weren't for Jon Stewart. But you and the rest of the right wingers say that no one ever jokes or makes fun of Democrats (even though SNL also ripped Obama and Hillary during the 2008 campaign) because they might joke about Republicans too. I mean, you're either are 100% right wing or you're a liberal. There's no in between, right?

I won't speak on the others you mentioned as I don't watch them so I don't know. However, I'd be willing to bet they blaze Obama at times too.

You have ever seen the abomination of a show called Red Eye on Fox News? :snoop:

The thing is that Republicans are much, much easier to make fun of. The off the wall shyt that they spew is comedic gold.
