Imagine growing up in a house with a backyard, well manicured lawn, great weather and becoming a gangster not cause of living conditions but more so the mentality of the people around you shyts retarded.

Imagine trying hard to turn the suburbs into a ghetto .

Doesn’t look that bad
Don't let these nikkas fool you

As someone who is actually outside and was actually involved in the streets, NYC is mostly safe compared to 15 - 20 years ago.

Stay away from most parts of the Bronx and Brownsville/ENY, which is VERY easy to do, and you'll be fine.

All of this, of course, depends on who you are.

The only people who have issues here are people directly involved in street shyt and even that is usually personal.

I see black gentrifiers go jogging with different colored bandanas and NOTHING happens to them.

So, you "win" this who is more hood competition.

We're about money over here. Not banging for the sake of it.

I like it.

Would you say having a fruitful side hustle is easy in nyc? Is surviving there(financially) really as hard as middle American portrays it to be?

Alotta ppl I know, well men I know who live in nyc seem like they’re doing just fine.

It is hard in the sense that everything is expensive (mostly cost of living).

But opportunities to make money are everywhere and probably the best in the country.

Networking makes a big difference here.

People who live outside of the fancy parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn are doing fine (for the most part).

Having family and friends here is what makes it easier vs just moving from out of state

This comment is as dumb today as it was years ago when the first person ever uttered it...

The people living in these areas were disadvantaged the same way the people in the more "hood looking" areas were. And with that disenfranchisement came the mentality the people in other areas had......but the disenfranchisement came first, not the mentality...

La hoods do not look sweet at all....the shyt looks dusty and outdated...so yall keep talking about palm trees...
nyc is safe for the most part..unless you involved in street shyt...besides the random shyt that happens...but one thing yall forget is how big NYC is and the amount of people in one area
