man, u get a neck tattoo, u are basically throwing your life in the bushes if u want to have a professional career.

btw, whats with all these hoes getting those star tattoos behind their ears?? at least it can be covered with their hair tho.

:dead: :damn: I got three behind my left ear lmao

but yeah it can be covered up easily which is why I got it there. And plus, its not that tacky

there was a rumor that my high school principal was a gang member and has a lot of gang tattoos which is why he was always wearing button up long sleeve shirts. IDK about rumor since alot of gang members even said he was a member.

But I think a lot of time these young people trying to subscribe to a life where they don't have to care about outside appearances and visible tattoos are appreciated.

But shyt gets real fast and they'll realize it was a mistake. It'll be too late tho:ld:

Tattoos are still taboo? :pachaha:

My current boss comes into work in flip flops and has a full fukking sleeve... Sometimes he wears short sleeved collard shirts.. If you're on the west coast in a start-up environment tattoos don't really fukking matter...

Basically... come to the west coast if you're a a skilled business talent, a free spirit, and not a lemming...

what does start up environment mean?

You acting like high paying jobs are easy to come by.

I don't think tats should be issue for and job that requires actual skill and talent.

what does start up environment mean?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Startup_company

Start ups are basically extremely young companies that are in the early stages that got funded by venture capitalist. Not a lot of employees, Usually younger... (Our CEO/Pres is barely 40)

When a company is young like that, there is more of a relaxed environment depending on who the boss is.

In Nor Cal, especially the Silicon Valley area, a lot of start ups are basically some sort of tech company...

For example, the company the creates that Walking Dead game... was a start up a few years ago and they are growing a lot lately...

Or "Zynga", the company the makes Words with friends, etc. They were a start up about 5 years ago, now they're HUGE...

It all depends on experience level and the job you're trying to get. The people saying skills will do the talking are ignoring that you first have to get the job that lets you build up that experience. Once you're established and have a work history then yeah you have more leeway.

But if you're fresh out of college or looking to get a job A LOT of companies will find any reason to not offer you a job. The smart thing to do is to not get a tat that can't be covered up with a long sleeve button up. That's if you trying to go the corporate route.
