Neck, face and hand obviously...everything else comes down what it is. I've got 2 on my forearm, and I've held several positions in 3 different fortune 500 companies...2 of them management roles.
Why do people limit their careers by getting noticeable Tattoos?

I am a Purchasing Manager at a large oil company and I have a bunch of tattoos. I'm not a Coli millionaire but Im not broke either and I have noticeable tatts. My forearms and my neck tatts are all visible and it aint slowed nothing for me. Honestly my neck tatts not really visible because I wear collar shirts to work but I wear short sleeve Polos regularly and my forearm tatts are definitely visible and I have not had one issue with anyone about them. My actual skills, education, and work experience say more about me than my tatts do.
I would never ever, ever, ever, ever, tatt my face though, then I may have some problems

Anyways if you plan on going that route if you have the skills and experience the tats wont matter unless its like an obnoxious face tat. Anyways I doubt anyone with a face tat would want a job sitting behind a desk everyday.

My current boss comes into work in flip flops and has a full fukking sleeve... Sometimes he wears short sleeved collard shirts.. If you're on the west coast in a start-up environment tattoos don't really fukking matter...
Basically... come to the west coast if you're a a skilled business talent, a free spirit, and not a lemming...

well no shyt face and neck tattoos are a no-go but anywhere else most companies dont give a shyt as long as your resume is strong and you can cover them up when needed

its a new day and age. i work in the downtown area around a bunch of young lawyers. all these cacs walk around with their sleeves rolled up showing off their tattoos
coming in here to post that i have 2 neck tattoos and no ambition of ever wanting a job that neck tattoos could prevent, no trollin i would get a face tattoo if i could come up with an idea for one that wasn't corny

Women are naturally followers so if one does it plenty more will start and then it picks up to be the new "it" thing to do
As for the original topic, yeah my cousin has neck and hand tats.....he just went for a job interview working for the state and is waiting for a "call back"

Actually a place like McDonalds probably wouldnt be prone to employing people with tattoos seeing as though it is a major corporation that probably stricter rules...
But when you work in business development and consulting for a San Fran start up company that creates online cloud software databases for Private Medical practices, they tend not to care to much... We have a damn pool table and mini-bar in the office. THey dont give a fukk about some damn tattoos. If you're talented and efficient at your job
