Why do people ignore that there's a racial component as to why Kobe is so disrespected as a player?

Then there's really no point to read what you have to say.

Stop grasping at straws. I'm pointing out something I see.

From my POV, on black spaces, Kobe is talked about normally. On white spaces, the disrespect is rampant.

So that's why I said it can't just be about basketball.

If you were being honest, you have to see it. Every time Kobe is brought up, there's always someone saying he's an imitator, second best, he's an MJ ripoff, or they'll do the 6 player image and say who needs to be removed and they'll have Kobe on there :troll: Now why is it they never do those images with Bird, Magic, Kareem, Hakeem, Bill Russell, Dirk as the 6th guy? Why is it always Kobe? :troll: Why is it that people online can talk about Dirk as a PF and there's no posts about how he sucks compared to Duncan, or that we can talk about Kareem/Hakeem/Shaq as Centers and there's no posts pointing out how they're second and third best and suck compared to the top center, or that we can talk about Bird as a SF and there's no posts saying he sucks compared to Bron. The bias is there. You're just pretending to not see it.
Here's what you don't seem to understand, Kobe fans want Kobe to be included in the GOAT discussion. That's part of the reason he gets scrutinized on a greater level than Hakeem, Dirk, Bird, etc. The standards for being the GOAT is higher. Even Jordan and Lebron receive an extra layer of criticism because of this.

Actual NBA players that’s played with & against him includes him in that discussion.. not just his “fans” :what:

If he isn’t then Bron damn sure isn’t no matter how many “stats” he accumulates.

I don't want to turn this into a Kobe vs Lebron post. But you see what this turns into when you bring up the GOAT discussion. People take sides. Then you get people saying things about Kobe to get Kobe fans upset (like the Reddit page you were on).

Plenty white people love Kobe

Only some non-basketball fans dislike him

Also, the rape case had enough ambiguity to it (DNA found her panties, her braggjng about fukking Kobe, her friends hinting that she wanted to set up celebrities, etc.)

@madness got banned last year for making fun of Kobe's death, and since being unbanned *all* his posts have been passive aggressive responses to negative posts about Kobe.

Y'all keep going back and forth tho. Imma go enjoy my Saturday.
You gonna cry to the mods again sissy:sadbron:

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
This is a recent post on Reddit. 1000+ upvotes, 600+ comments. Posting his mug shot. Calling him a Rapist.

These are the same people saying "Kobe isn't top 10"....that "no one ever seriously had Kobe in the GOAT convo"....that "Kobe is only ranked high because he died".

99.9999% of the irrational hatred and disrespect that Kobe receives is because of the rape case. Cacs view him no differently than Michael Vick.

This is all false.

If anything, Kobe is overrated.

And by that, I mean, he’s not a top 10 player all time as most would say and he’s certainly not better or more impactful than Tim Duncan.

I am comfortable and I love you
there's a big difference in playing at one spot your whole career, walking around town interacting with folks, flying over the neighborhoods in helicopters & just fitting in. East coast nikka like Pac but both just fit the vibe, asians & hispanics adopted him in the Dave Chappelle race draft basically lol

Never got to meet him myself but I know multiple folks who did here in OC, and every story was the same. Whether he was at the movie theater or McDonalds, he was always super nice to people. Always down to take a picture and dap em up, just a good dude.
