if you can do dips you def can do pull ups
NO
Doesn't work that way
Pullups way harder than dips, for beginners or moderate lifters or people who just have trouble doing bodyweight exercises
both are easy to me
if you can do dips you def can do pull ups
I just started working out proper, and I can't do one pull-up
I will learn soon though.

Allstarhealth.comFrom where?
Yea you gotta be able to do bodyweight exercises
Yea the vast majority of people can't do ther body weight on most exercises
Brehs that want to start being able to do body pull ups and dips that can't should start doing machine pull downs, bend over rows to build those lats and upper back muscles for pull ups and flat / decline bench with barbell and Dumbbells to build those Chest and tris.
Work Accessory muscles like biceps and triceps to help build yourself up as well.

I might throw pullups back into the rotation because lats are one of my weak points.
Do dips and pullups add mass or just make you look more cut/defined?
How cut you look depends on diet. Yes pullups and dips add muscle provided that you do them the right wayI might throw pullups back into the rotation because lats are one of my weak points.

shyt still impressive than most gym goers no need to discredit them cats for not being able to do more. Its something you have to work on and if you don't well that's how you get what you see mentioned. And that's a damn shame, see guys in there benching 315,but can do 2 pullups

The obvious reason unless you one of these YouTube barbell crews who the fukk (as in most regular people) cares about body weight lifts. When you see the nfl combine isn't a pull up test its a benching test. People maybe because of lack pull ups strength more than dips ask whats your bench not how many pull-ups you can do. That's why that's its the more popular thing.Im not discrediting it at all,but why would you want a strong bench and not strong body weight lifts? Bench is very overrated and really correlates to very little if anything outside of the gym
