It's actually easier to swim in the ocean. (Excluding rough waters and massive waves of course)
The salt water makes it easier to float. Less exertion
I've been jet skiing a few times and never had any issues when i feel off.
It’s marginal at the point where you’re in the middle of the ocean. You’re gonna die of exertion and drown before you reach land. Hell, most people would drown within a mile of shore because it would be that damn taxing to make it

Because they give you a whole tutorial on saving your life with the emergency mini boats that are on ship, which are enough to rescue every person…

Knowing how to swim will not save you in the middle of the ocean in high winds lol. Might as well go have fun and worry about the bad stuff later

:mjlol: Breh I was knee-deep in them trauma docs when I had Curiousitystream.

:ohhh: say breh... would you believe that I had never heard of Curiosity Stream before yesterday? And the only reason I heard of it was because there's a current class action lawsuit going on where folks can get up to 2500 if they ever used the service?

I was thinking about making a thread on it but I didn't know if brehs would know what Curiosity stream is.

I sign up for class action lawsuits all the time, lowkey jealous that I can't sign up for this one cause I never used the service.

I joined the Navy and could not swim

Barely Missed drowning in boot camp :wow:

I was sitting at the bottom of the pool preparing to enter the shadow realm :mjcry:
sounds like my story of boot camp in the Marine Corps.

they threw me off a 10 ftplatform for a week for swim qual. I sunk to the bottom every single time. on the last day they told me they just passing me but I should probably sign up for some swim classes when I get stationed.

I also lived on a ship for 7 months and worked on the flight deck. every night i’d worry imma fall down a bomb shoot

Tell people you know nothing of how vastly different open water is to coastal, and controlled water environments (pools) without telling them brehs. Unless you're a top 1% swimmer, you have no chance of surviving in the open water.

The whole thing about "knowing how to swim" is there's a difference between knowing how to swim in a 6-10ft pool at a hotel and "really" knowing how to swim as in being in a giant lake/ocean with hundreds if not thousands of "nothingness" below you.
Seriously....even swimming near the shore in like 4 to 10 feet of water will make you think twice about that deep ocean swimming shyt.

If you're REALLY well trained or got that Michael Phelps skill set, you might be good. But the average swimmer would get nervous as fukk out there treading water for that long. That's assuming you're in relatively warm water. Pacific/Atlantic can be cold as fukk depending on where you are. The energy you'd expend in cold water to stay warm.......damn.
