I know but sprint didnt want the one x. They wanted a whole another phone with the evo branding even though HTC killed it. Either do that or dont have a phone on verizon or sprint. Carriers are a bunch of fags. Sprint said that they created the evo line so they cant killed it. Verizon said that they create the incredible line. AT&T is the only carrier that gets it. They take risks. Verizon is the worse one. They rejected the gs2 and note 1. Now they are on board a year later. Look what they did to motorola telling them they cant use stock android on their phones. They killed google wallet in order to create isis. The carriers are the ones who is turning android into the mess you see yet the blogs blame google. JB was given to the OEM before google i/o in june and the carriers is holding on to the updates to sell new phones. Its common sense. The note 2 ships with JB but the gs3 update is nowhere in sight.

I do blame Google to an certain extent..... they need to have more control of their os

This is SOMEWHAT accurate...SOMEWHAT...

I can't tell you how many people (mostly females) ask me what phone to get after copping a crappy mid-tier Android device. Those $100 mid tier phones are one of the reasons people jump ship to the iPhone when they can because most people are too lazy or not tech savy enough to know how to really get a Android device on and poppin. Not to mention the hardware on some of those devices is atrocious, let alone the support for em.

Stay Calm, Be Cool, READ A REVIEW. Preferably a video one, which is a very good way to know what you're getting into.

And the EVO 3D wasn't a bad phone it just wasn't the update people were hoping for considering that the OG Evo was a landmark device.

all these naming shyt is confusing even for users like me who takes time to read news about this tech bullshyt

people who actually care about processors and ram are like 2% of all people who buy phones

i mean i looked at Sony phones and their models named A B F G P D J K S and shyt like that :what: i am still not sure but i researched and it seems like their new flagship device will be called P :what: still not sure

the only android manufacturer who got it more or less right is Samsung with the Galaxy line

just add a fukking number every year, nobody have time to research all this bullshyt :childplease:

exactly! which is why I'm only buying nexus from now on.... I'm still eating good off this galaxy nexus, and while there may be somewhat better phones out now, I have no phone envy.... that's the way it's supposed to be :ahh:

Not everyone is that savvy

Thats why iPhone does so well. You know what you are getting every year and you are good for a year or more without feeling like you have wait, keep up or are outdated within a month. They keep it simple for the average consumer to power buyer.

I prefer android but its way too fragmented, they give you choices that may seem good at the time but bite you in the ass later.

control in what aspect...its an open system :why:

If google/android play hardball the OEM will leave. HTC and samsung have one foot out the door. There is no loyalty in this game :rudy:

Samsung like android but hates google. They said initially that they wanted to deal with android people not google. Samsung agreed to use android if they could skin it. Its a different brand bro even though its owned by the same company. Google only care about how many android phone is in users hand

or just more control over the nexus line.

Keep the mid-tier and low-end devices for those who just want a smartphone but don't wanna pay the premium for a flagship... let the individual OEMs design their own high-end devices, if they wanna target that market with their proprietary software on top of android's base, but Google should OWN the Nexus line.

Its because most android OEM suck at marketing. Samsung gs3 commercials are epic and is changing the way people feel about android as a whole. The galaxy line is a very recognizable brand. Now its i want a galaxy phone. Android finally have a brand that matches the iphone. The gs3 is the most important phone in androids history next to the original droid. The nexus phones are a fairy tale device but ti does little to drive android forward commercially. Look at what the gs3 is doing for Android. One brand on all carriers...same specs as the international models....same name...all u have to deal with is bloatware....look at the mess that was the gs2

choices for people who dont want to spend a fortune. My dad has a boost phone that runs ICS. It costed him 99$ with boost. It does everything my phone does. Thats where android wins. The only difference is the specs ad the specs on his phone is adequate . Android have 3 levels...low...mid..high range

WHAT? :why:

Only Google use the Nexus line. Nexus line=stock android

Android is used by other OEM. So how does what you say make any sense. Nexus line is no different than the iphone line

true, also android gives consumers many options in pricing, based on model and size.you get low end phones and high end phones

apple says better have that $$$ , their pricing is based on size ..phones are all same spec except hd size...keeps things level...there is no low end and the os is consistent on all new/newish devices

thats why people are leaving the iphone behind in droves. How do you make people hate their iphone?? by releasing commercials like this

If you want a similar iphone experience then get a GSM nexus phone from the play store and use a prepaid carrier like t-mobile, straight talk or At&T. Gsm nexus line= fast updates directly from google with no middle man. Down side is only use HSPA+ (fake iphone 4G) no LTE. Nexus line on a carrier network is a disaster. The carriers is now the middle man and push out slow updates.

Yes it is, and it's those differences that cause me long for them to truly take ownership of the line.

iPhone gets announced, a release date is announced within days, the phone in customers hands within a couple weeks. With Nexus, all we hear is a bunch of excuses blaming the mfgs, the carriers, whoever. Google needs to own the entire device from conception to design to marketing to deliver into my hands.....and updates.

Then it wouldn't be an IPhone experience. :shaq2:
