Why do people act like suicide is so bad?

If you were a good person while living who cares if people judge the way you go out? As long you didn't take anybody with you, doesn't matter.

This is true, and if you could care less about what your family and loved ones think about you and your impact on their lives. Then I could understand.

And if you are willing to commit sucide then chances are you could care less about going to hell, leaving loved once behind and sh!t so I guess it doesn't matter..

Most people who commit suicide don't want to commit suicide. It's a permanent solution to a short-term problem (for most). If someone is dead set on killing themselves, there wouldn't be these dramatic police/fire situations of people jumping off buildings and bridges. They want help but don't know where to go.

I guess that's to be expected with a ridiculous opening post.

True, people's mindstate during suicidal thoughts vary. Ultimately it wouldn't matter for long because the person is dead and they can't really be judged by anyone living. The ones who have to bury the suicidal one would be hurt but I don't know, they'd be forced to moved on there's nothing more you can do.

It all depends on what you believe in as far as the going to hell part goes.

i don't even really think depression is the sole factor in a person willing to commit suicide...i know a gang of folks that are super downers and seem content to just expire when it comes instead of expediting the process

i think people that attempt suicide think "perhaps they'll think more of me when im not here" or "i'll/this will show them"....on some ultimate dare type steeze...and/or that they are taking their death into their own hands because they're not willing to deal w/ not knowing what else life has in store for them

in terms of pain that is not high at all if you think about it.

I have no problems with people having the right to off themselves. I even think hospitals should help assist with it if you have a terminal illness. They got drugs that can let you go with ease.

It being a temporary problem is a myth. If you are unhappy with being you, and living your own life then it will always be a problem until you die. People say your family will be hurt if you kill yourself. That's stupid. Death is inevitable. They would be hurt by your death eventually anyway. No one lives forever.
