Judaism was practiced in Ethiopia long before Christianity arrived and the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible contains numerous Jewish Aramaic words. The Old Testament in Ethiopia may be a translation of the Hebrew with possible assistance from Jews.

Christianity in Ethiopia - Wikipedia

So how did the Ethiopians start practicing "Christianity"...if Judaism was there long before "Christianity"???...Did followers of Judaism wear some form of graduation robe too???...:lupe:

Judaism - JEWS that DO NOT BELIEVE YESHUA is the MESSIAH

Messianic Jew - (Judeo-Christianity) - JEWS WHO BELIEVE YESHUA is the MESSIAH

CHRISTIANITY - NON JEWS (referred to as GENTILES) who believe Jesus is the Messiah

2. Messianic Jew - JEWS WHO BELIEVE YESHUA is the MESSIAH (Judeo-Christianity)

3. CHRISTIANITY - NON JEWS (referred to as GENTILES) who believe Jesus is the Messiah

@Lamar Givens

The origins of Judaism lie in the Bronze Age polytheistic Ancient Semitic religions, specifically Canaanite religion, a syncretization with elements of Babylonian religion and of the worship of Yahweh reflected in the early prophetic books of the Hebrew Bible.

During the Iron Age I, the Israelite religion became distinct from other Canaanite religions due to the unique monolatristic (proto-monotheistic) worship of Yahweh.

During the Babylonian captivity of the 6th and 5th centuries BCE (Iron Age II), certain circles within the exiled Judahites in Babylon redefined pre-existing ideas about monotheism, election, divine law and Covenant into a strict monotheistic theology which came to dominate the former Judah in the following centuries.[1]

From the 5th century BCE until 70 CE, Israelite religion developed into the various theological schools of Second Temple Judaism, besides Hellenistic Judaism in the diaspora. Second Temple Judaism was significantly influenced by Zoroastrianism.

The text of the Hebrew Bible was redacted into its extant form in this period and possibly also canonized as well.

So it seems that Judaism is a combination of caaninite and babylonian religions that were redacted and monotheitized into one religion...that would branch off into other sects and religions i.e. "christianity"...:jbhmm:

Sooooo...which version of "christianity" did the first century jews practice???..."white christianity" or "black christianity"...and which version was authentic at the time???...:jbhmm:

How can either be "authentic" if texts were redacted and compiled with other texts???...:jbhmm:

The text of the Hebrew Bible was redacted into its extant form in this period and possibly also canonized as well.

And why did ancient worshipers worshiping multiple gods???...

The people of ancient Israel and Judah, however, were not followers of Judaism: they were practitioners of a polytheistic culture worshiping multiple gods, concerned with fertility and local shrines and legends, and not with a written torah, elaborate laws governing ritual purity, or an exclusive covenant and national god.[12]

Why were the ancient people of Israel not followers of Judaism and instead worshiped multiple gods as noted above???...:jbhmm:

Why were the ancient people of Israel not followers of Judaism and instead worshiped multiple gods as noted above???...:jbhmm:

1. Wikipedia is not a valid source for scholarly information.

2. The entire Hebrew Bible/Torah/Old Testament records the idol worship of the Israelites from the time Yahweh called Abram to worship Him alone and no other gods.

3. All of Israel’s idolatry and mingling with false religions is recorded in the Old Testament as soon as the Israelites were freed from Egytian bondage.

4. All of their history is recorded in the ancients texts Old Testament/Torah as well as Yahweh’s warnings of what would happen to them for worshipping other gods/religions.

5. From Exodus all the way to Nehemiah the Hebrew texts records Israel’s idolatry as well as punishments from Yahweh as a result of his people worshipping idol gods.

6. 1 Kings and 2 Kings lays out historically the leaders of Israel who served false gods and encouraged the Israelites to do so. Also recorded are the consequences of the people turning their backs on Yahweh, and their repentance.

6. You tried to expose what the Hebrew scripts have already recorded. That’s what the entire Old Testament is about. Yahweh taking his people from a foreign land to worship him alone and the test, trials, blessings, and curses from his people’s obedience and disobedience. :umad:

Once again if you do your own research this is common knowledge.

Also.

Your argument about the redaction of the Hebrew text is not supported by the best evidence and TEXTUAL CRITICISM.

And what would the best evidence be???...:leon:...surely not what you've presented...:sas1:
Your typing paragraphs with no reference...I proved factually that the ancients were not followers of religions...who are/were the ancients then??? and why did they worship multiple gods and not follow religions...i.e. Judaism...Christianity...etc???...
When "God" said in Genesis..."Let Us make Man in Our image???" Who was he talking too and what did he mean by making man "in our image"???...:leon:

Who is man?:leon:

Who is mankind?:leon:

What's the difference between man and mankind???...:leon:

1. You like to point out people’s Reputation points as if that’s a barometer for truth/facts:mjlol:

People dap and rep for all sorts of reasons :umad: I’ve been on the coli for less than a year and realize that :rudy:

2. You’ve provided Wikipedia references when Wikipedia is not considered a scholarly source academically :umad:

3. Your tactic is to ask multiple questions at once and then you use straw man arguments to validate your position for answers that falsify and contradict your arguments. :smugbiden:

4. You’re pointing out my rep points is an example of your futile attempt to deviate from the obvious. All of the hotep non sense you have been stuttering has been dismantled by what I’ve presented. :comeon:

5. Anyone with a basic high school education who has been taught how to properly do academic/scholarly research can easily see the glaring multiple false arguments you’ve been presenting.

6. The mere fact you tried to start a thread about black preachers wearing robes and you didn’t even know the history behind robe wearing demonstrates why you need to step your academic research up. Stop kneeling down before your hotep daddy masters. They are just as lost as you are :umad:
