I think it's a reflection of the people they have around them. You grow listening to people rap about these scarface/nino brown fantasies and now you surround yourself with people that did it and they rub off on you.

it's also a backwards case of art reflecting life....
these guys (rappers) get into character and never seem to break out of it...
because the groupies, the goons and the guap got them actually thinking they could be the guy that they seen in film or heard about in the streets....
but without having to actually take the risks or earn the stripes that REAL STREET CATS actually have taken is where the line is drawn....
and unfortuantly alot of rappers think by mere association with street cats that they can cross that line with no reprucussions....
we have seen that movie way too many times and it doesn't end well
it's no different with these athletes.....Pacman Jones is a good example...
