Why do most educated/higher class black people look down on hood blacks?

I came in to ask this as soon as i read the thread title. Do other cultures "look down" on the lower class also? I imagine so. Its just that in the black community that the "hood/ratchet/ignorant" segment of the population gets the most exposure.

Black people take too much pride in being from the hood. It probably was a defense mechanism to coverup for shame, but now people (especially in the rap community) romantacize ghetto life like its the thing to be! fukk that..

Frankly I don't care about your ghetto upbringing or your prison stories. shyt is played out now. It's time for our culture to evolve.

The black community will only progress when we put innovation towards other industries (outside of entertainment) and increase our population.This is how nations increase their GDP .......Stop using hip hop as a scapegoat for the failed civil rights generations that couldn't stick together and the effects of structural racism.

We all should be more compassionate , we don't like it, but we understand that this is generations of social engineering and this government creating "hoods" that we value.

The problem that im finding out more and more is that we are unaware of the INTENTIONAL ways that we are being oppressed. Ive made countless threads about the intentional manipulation of hiphop and cats here dismiss it as "conspiracy fantasy". We as a people are not aware that we are being systematically oppressed. Where we are as a people is by design. Not by coincidence. WE dont know that tho.

you are right but if you dont think hiphop is a part of the problem then you fail to see the big picture. this current hiphop culture is leading our collective mindstate AWAY from those things you listed. Wake up breh. Media propaganda is kicking our a55es. Hiphop culture rewards ignorance. Why do you think our youth gravitates towards it?

Half these people here are not black and disguise themselves so they can say nikka freely. Topics like this expose who is who.

Anyone who can over look those negative elements that is not coincidental but is in fact financed invested in and purposely promoted, and have no compassion and victim blame, are indeed plants on this site, got some serious self hatred issues or just not black and don't understand.

You are vilifying hiphop as if it's the root of the problem.....Hip hop played no role in bigoted lending practices, racist hiring practices or the fracture of the black family unit which spawned the "strong independent black woman" and the subsequent prison industrial complex/gang culture...all these issues predate Hip hop.

The damage is irreparable at this moment and getting rid of hip hop will not amend these issues. It will take a collective effort and as much as people love to say "the black community" ...we all have different agendas and motives now

They are the ruling and dominant race and also the whole point of having power is to sustain it. I'm not blind to that but I just gave you two solutions to combat this and why it won't happen at the collective level.....
