Because although they have accumulated more wealth they still adopt a 2nd class status in the master /slave dynamic

So when you have a people who feel like the standard of success is white folks and everything good is white folks, so them having money and accomplishments is a white folk thing, and because they accept being the slave in that dynamic, they in addition to gaining success want to be on they best behavior in the face of they master

The "hood" people in their minds make them look bad in the face of they oppressor.

In slave times white beast would sometimes beat they own slaves if they heard about another slave who ran away elsewhere to instill the fear that they slave better never try what that runaway slave tried. This begun this attitude among us that 1 slave doing something "stupid" in our minds looks bad for every one of us. It's why so many slaves discouraged slaves from running away cause they knew massa was going to come down harder on the ones who remained behind.
This is top 5 stupidest thing I've read on here.

Another let's magnify an issue like its a "black" problem:snoop:
We gone act like cacs and every other race dont do the same:usure:

Not as often no, most educates blacks disassociate with another beneath them, a big reason why you have the same issues we've had forever. Whites and Hispanics do it but not nearly as frequently. They tend have much bigger family structures.

Educated blacks tend to be borderline house negros, because of the isolation, lower class blacks when they make feel the need to show out and get theirs. It all comes right back around and the educated blacks wonder why so many nikkas call them c00ns and uncle Tom's. Poor nikkas waiting in the cut to come up.

The whole situation is handled wrong.

When I was younger and ratchet ..even older educated blacks would look like :snoop: when me and my nikkas was causing mayhem in the city :myman:

I feel like those black Republicans just be like :scust: and disassociate their self from lower class blacks :manny:

The black community needs an aristrocracy that the hood black folks should look up to. We are so dysgenic its terrible. Youre SUPPOSED to aspire to something greater than you.

We do black people treat poverty like its a status symbol?

I don't think it's necessarily looking down. It's more about having self respect. as you grow up and attain more knowledge you realize that you don't seek education and good social standing for white people. You seek it for yourself. Trust me. The black elite are some of the most separatist people. Not just from uneducated blacks but from whites also because they know the "game". I cringe every time I see a black kids cursing or saying the n word on public. Maybe it's just my generation or upbringing but one of the first things that I was taught was to not show my ass in public because whatever I do is a reflection of my race whether I like it or not.
Damn

I kinda look down and want them to want better for themselves....when I see these WSHH videos being spread like wildfire it just saddens me. It seems like that's promoted mote than the good.

I feel like when a black person does something like get accepted to 15 Ivy league schools the media treats like its impossible and "look, there is a good ******" :snoop:

It is a double edged sword

Rappers do that?

Some blacks think education is wack and brag about being high school drop puts and serving the most fiends and who got better sneaks and who pop more bottles etc

There is literally a song out saying you ain't shyt if you don't got money to blow at the club on bottles...I heard it yesterday

You're trying too hard. It's not that deep. Bad and unflattering behavior is just that....bad and unflattering. There is no monolithic "hood behavior". I know many people in the "hood" that despise the behavior of other individuals in the hood.

Exactly. Most of the kids that I went to high school with including me went on to obtain some type of higher education. We didn't do it and want a prize or feel like we were special negros. We did it because it was obtainable and we had no other choice but to make something of ourselves. We have to stop rewarding kids and adults for doing what they're supposed to be doing. Getting good grades and getting into Ivy League schools should be the standard for our kids like it is for Asians and Jews

Wtf is a "hood black"?

Coming from poverty doesnt mean you are ignorant and lazy.

Any adult who chooses to be ignorant and lazy is a non factor and time should not be wasted on them. Doesnt matter what their socioeconomic background is. Only people we should be working to save ks the children before they become lost causes and this is done by creating infrastructure to give them the opportunity to compete and decide their own destiny.

You're trying too hard. It's not that deep. Bad and unflattering behavior is just that....bad and unflattering. There is no monolithic "hood behavior". I know many people in the "hood" that despise the behavior of other individuals in the hood.
This is not about a behavior, it's about a mentality. Most those who dislike the behavior simply dislikes it because they still harbor a self conscious insecurity where they think the bad behavior of those in the hood makes them look bad. The point still stands.

What I don't like is those acting as if the other elements that cause negative behavior or criminal activity just don't exist and because some chose to ignore and take the high road that means those who fell victim to the temptation are not still victims themselves of those circumstances which in turn let's those who bring in the guns the drugs fail in education etc off the hook for their failures and wrongs being done to those in poverty. You act as if profiling don't exist, as if the drug business is not a trillion dollar business, as if the occupancy in privatized prisons needing to be at 95% capacity just don't exist, as if people really don't invest in the criminalizing of blacks who in the so called hood. That mentality is as huge a problem as those more wealthy blacks looking down on the perception of a hoof as if it makes them look bad personally. They have no integrity or empathy to look down on those people.
