Why do Michael Mann movies just look better than anyone else's

I actually like his use of digital cameras because it feels like you're watching some real shyt take place, it made a period piece like Public Enemies a lil more unique. What ruins it for me is the horrible CGI, when the PS2 looking CGI Blood in Public Enemies

The only movie of his I really didn't like was Blackhat.

Miami Vice is still kinda good, the action scenes are on point and the scenes with gong li are

And idk why but I always liked this track yet hated the rest of the jigga linkin park Mashup

I didnt like the way miami vice turned out....The live action cameras was not needed it looked too low budget... even though the story was good it just looked off... it worked for collateral but he should have used regular cameras...

Same....it was actually making my head hurt.
