Never got around to watching Miami Vice because the trailer looked like shyt
Public Enemies looked horrible for a period piece.

If he used hollywood cameras for public enemies it would have probaby been better...:ld: live action cameras for a period piece action movie?!?:mjlol:

I had my fair share of issues with Miami Vice's script and performances, but that film did an excellent job making the city feel like an actual character.
exactly
Yeah Colin nor Jamie really pulled that movie and the script felt cheap

Heat looked incredible, the fukk u talkin bout:what:

This... but to your point Heat looks great because one of the best choices Michael Mann made was to film it in LA and use a lot of places that you don't normally see.. The movie just feels like LA...

He made the city another character to the story.

It looks better on the night scenes probably. The day time scenes were terrible.

I have it on bluray. I watched 15mins and chunked it.
I'm not sayin its a good movie, Im just sayin it was some beautiful scenes. And yeah, the night scenes of his are always the best. Was like that in Collateral and Heat

I didnt like the way miami vice turned out....The live action cameras was not needed it looked too low budget...:beli: even though the story was good it just looked off...:patrice: it worked for collateral but he should have used regular cameras...
That movie was unbearable. He is a great director but that movie wasn’t good.
