Not that u lose ur chances at all...its just that a lot of females (like myself) are very shy and if a guy doesnt out right show his interest in me, i automatically think he isnt interested in me which in turn has me thinking that i was only an option to him if it takes him forever to step to me

because they try to avoid rejection like the plague. it's like ether to their soul. The ones who already have low self-worth put a lot of stock in how much in demand they are percieved. Being rejected and other people knowing about it would shatter this image and destroy what they've spent so much time trying to build (the allure, the mystique...) so instead they'd rather you take most of the risk. At the same time they figure they are above the guys who typically approach them (losers).

Also, if they show interest and they clearly see you notice it and you don't approach, it's a rejection but the worst part is that since no words are spoken, they will never truly know why and may be haunted by it for some time.

I learned the contradictive nature of women early on in college, in the dorms. Girls will do everything to get your attention but initiate a blunt conversation. Had girls sit next to me EVERYDAY in class, ask for laundry detergent or study guides, stare me the fukk down, talk to my friends so that I'd know they like me, etc

Sometimes I was oblivious but then I smartened up. They put out the bat signal and you got to respond.

i respectfully disagree. treating them like shyt is putting too much focus on them. treat them like they act. it's still in a way curving your behavior to get the chick's attention. i say act like yourself and let her choose. if she doesn't want that, it doesnt matter. she's not even worth dwelling over. she's just a random girl anyway.

I had a chick sit next to me on a bus with plenty of open seats. I'm not thinking anything of it and keep listening to my music. She literally gets mad, throws her hands up and leaves when her stop comes. Didn't realize till later on the whole point was for me to talk to her.
