As much as people over react to Vince's booking, there is worse booking out there in the wrestling world. Also, TNA's show presentation is just trash. Sometimes you just want to see what a person looks like with WWE production values.
Lashley was a big star in TNA and presented as one by them. As big as someone could be in that company. Same goes for Joe, AJ, and hell even Bobby Roode during his world title run.But he's not talking about "why does Lashley in WWE make more noise". WWE fans who watch a lot of wrestling and were aware of Lashley in TNA, or AJ or whoever, wrote them off as WWE castoffs or rejects and not real stars. It's not that they didn't know about them.
I totally understand both points. What I'm asking is then why do they end up getting huge debut/return pops if those fans thought they were inferior talent? Is it just that the smark crowd at RAW after Mania's are part of the 300K that still watch Impact?
Tribalism.
If an athlete plays for a team you dislike, they aint shyt, a scrub, hate on sight. Then when said athlete then joins your team, they then become greatest thing since sliced bread.
The Crowd after Mania is made up of a large portion of international fans, who dont get to see TNA, till the next day. In the UK we get TNA on 9pm on a Friday night, or people watch on online.
Wrestling fans majority of the time will watch wrestling regardless of where it is from and will always give it a chance, why because they love wrestling. You're confusing the WWE loyalist with actual wrestling fans.
You're right with the bolded. I would argue that there's more WWE loyalists than other fans in 2018, which is probably where I'm seeing these social media posts from.
Because TNA is like playing for a weak football league like the French league and the WWE is like the premier league.
