Correct me if I'm wrong but Blueprint 3 sold more than American Gangster and it came after. And in today's market usually you sell less as each album drops due to record sales but due to his radio friendly songs such as Empire State of Mind (which I think is his only #1 on the billboard singles) and On to the Next one (crap) he sold more.
The man is tryna sell the Garden and o2 arena constantly, doesn't wanna fall to a venue of 5000.And you might say hey whatever Jay pisses on will be a mill, look at Em, on Recovery that Not Afraid and Rihanna tune did way better than Relapse which as bad. We can agree they are set for life but me being in their position I'd be more satisfied with #1 songs on the billboard doing Call Me Maybe numbers than the money which will always be there.
Me and you obviously haven't felt their type of success but imagine Staples Centre where people know word for word to nikkas in Paris than a venue where only hip hop heads know 22 Twos. There's a point where After money you care just about acheivements and records. Like Jay said "10 #1 albums who better than me? Only the Beatles, nobody ahead of me"
