He was injured at Ohio state( How old are you king?) He broke his left wrist which is why him & Conley didn’t win it all.

If I had to make a conspiracy theory I would say the Pistons had a message from NBA to pick up draft bust so their team wouldn't become too strong

That's about the only explanation I can think of why Dumars picked bum ass darko when a fukking Melo, Bosh, Wade were available.


The only thing that saved Dumars was the lucky 04 championship where karl malone was hunting for mexican girls and Shaq did not get along with Kobe anymore. Not drafting Melo or the other two is why Pistons kept failing next years when realistically they coulda been #1 eastern squad until 08 Celtics, with more than one championship.

And Melo did co-exist really well with Billups in Denver, so...

The legacy of lebron would be different.
As i am unsure of bron finally beating detroit to put them out to pasture if melo is there. I think only wade's first title is the only constant. Plus kobe's legacy and duncan would be different as well. I do not think the big three wins possibly as well.

Like dominating like he was the second coming of the past bigs like lew, artis, wilt. Even if he got a little tick as a hobbled pro. He was a killer.

He do not have much film as a pro barring injury. Yet he never played like a bust like stacy king or somebody wack. if he got on court.

Sure, a lot of what if's. Do they still trade for Sheed in the middle of season? What is their coaching staff? Brown or Saunders were not some good coaches. A great coach with Billups, Rip and Melo on the offense would do wonders and the 08 or 09 series with the Celtics (If KG didn't get injured in 09) would be really amazing to watch.

Bron definitely doesn't make it to 07 finals against that Pistons squad and Detroit wins it all in 07 as that Spurs squad wasn't as great as in 05.

A team with Ben, Sheed, Melo, Rip and Billups? Damn...

I am a kd guy all day but oden barring injuries was can not miss for that exact time.
Melo and darko are completely different as it was detroit with a black gm. Trying to bring in a great white hype.. Over the best grassroots college player regardless of character issues.
It was low key self hate tbh by dumars. Not to bring in melo.
