She's one of my favs but she doesn't have that mainstream style which I prefer. She also has a pretty set style that's not that versatile. Saw her at bb Kings years ago and she sounds exactly the same in person.

Yea, I think this is what it boils down to. She seems like she takes this music thing very serious and knows the importance of music itself on the masses.
She has many lyrics in her songs alluding to how she wants her music to help people.
"I've been waiting restlessly for the words to a song that could change it all"
She always struck me as somebody who couldn't care less about "blowing up" if it meant that her music would be dumbed down.
