I think The Professional went platinum without any videos or concrete singles. But then again, this was during the late 90's where everybody was selling units
if true clue really had the juice then, roca-fella could've done what Death Row was trying to do, in that have Clue, Dipset, State Property have record labels up under Rocafella, but laziness and ego got in the way.

Clue and Flex felt like DJ's from an older time period and in Flex's case, his fukkery is tied to his show.
And that's wild in itself cuz all 3 of them are the same generation. Flex might be older but they all started making their name in the early-mid 90's. Say what you want about Khaled but the guy is a true blue hustler. It's all he did, he comes from a family of hustlers. You remember going to the flea market and the one Arab dude had all the t-shirts and tapes and whatnot? Khaled's dad was one of those.

The guy started on college radio, then pirate radio, then commercial radio. When the industry "discovered" Miami in the 90's, he was there. After he got the co-sign from Fat Joe and TS, it was over. Coming up in Miami back then, he was everywhere. Every party, every conference. Had the #1 show in the city for years.

He evolved and adapted to the times. Took Biggie's advice "the key to this shyt is to treat everything like it's your first project. Stay hungry" and ran with it. Flex and Clue stagnated after the Drama fiasco.

Khaled has a better personality/brand to crossover & is more well known by the general public.

Flex & Clue only appealed to the hip hop crowd, they would struggle to crossover to the masses
Flex Hogan has a personality. Might not be appealing to zoomers and Beckys but he's got *something*

Clue, not so much. I agree he appealed to heads only.

Khaled mastered Snapchat and that's what got him over. He's a fun/meme/motivational guy that draws casuals in.

Plus Flex has taken a lot of shots over the years with the employee/company man thing. That's hurt his image.

outside of mixtapes that are now kinda outdated, dj drama has the southern ties but don't nearly generate as much albums as khaled if people want to say the south has an advantage. plus drama got raided so who knows what songs could never be retrieved

From the get go Drama was not fukking with Khaled in that forte whatsoever
