He wasn't projected to be a 1st rounder. Being a mid tier Black QB in the NFL isn't a long career.

Back in 93' is was widely thought that it was because of his size as a QB and the fact that he didn't want to get banged up.
I'm a football guy first, but if it's all about money and health...then I totally respect his reasons.

Both really, not too many black equivalents of say a Matt Hasselbeck(QB that was drafted in the later rounds and got a chance to start) in the history of the league.
You also don't see too many float around after they're considered done like Joey Harrington did.
