When I was a kid, there was a TV show on TV about dinosaurs(that sitcom), there were other kid related dinosaur shows, there were movies like Jurassic Park, lots of dinosaur toys in general, and school field trips would be to dinosaur museums exhibits, etc.

Now there's none of that on TV or movies, I never hear younger kids talking about it or going on school field trips, etc.

It's like we've stopped caring about it in favor of other stupid stuff, but as a kid the subject always fascinated me.

Because there were lies in the curriculum that are embarrassing. Like, the further you dig, the older the dinosaur bones you'll find. Yet, they've found bones not very deep in the earth. Couple that with the fact they actually manufacture fossils in factories, its not a good look for the industry. I remember this girl in my 1 year of college told me she was going to be an archeologist like Laura Croft. I laughed at her. Now shes living with her mommy and her child.

i think it's kind of far fetched to believe religion is the cause of the declining relevance of dinosaurs...

The deeper you dig into the earth the older the bones you'll find and by digging deep you have a good measure of how old the bones are....
