Because Pac was an attention whore doing it for the controversy and recognition. You think he really had a legitimate reason to go at anybody he went at? He was 50 Cent before 50 Cent. Biggie's mom said Big ran into him and was like "Yo what are you doing" after he made Hit Em Up and Pac told him "I'm just trying to make some money man."
It's not that difficult to understand. The only problem is a lot of Pac stans think he was some kind of righteous infallible figure and try to create justifications for why he conducted himself like Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls.

lol@Pac really believing there was a conspiracy of east coast rappers trying to destroy him. If you believe that, you might as well also believe in the Illuminati, 9/11 truther conspiracies, the Moon landing was faked, and the government is negotiating with alien races.
Most of those kids are revisionists they believe what they see on the tupac documentaries.Anyone old enough to live thru that era knows the truth

that's the shyt I been meaning to say in that Locker Room thread....
It's not that people hate Pac...
it's that a lot of these cats was 14 when Pac died.... AT THE MOST.
They really think Pac was this Black Panther Superhero and call truthful but contradictory statements Pac being "complex" or "multifaceted" or whatever the fukk they be saying.
Nas loved Pac like a son...that "cb4 gusto" line was an accurate depiction of Pac.
Pac wasn't hard, or tough...he was as insecure as it got. Nas was calling him out on his bullshyt and Pac like always cried about it with a bunch of tough talk that left him dead while Nas is out here making monumental albums 16 years later.
