Why did Kendrick play it safe with " We hate Po Po" line in Grammy performance?

Depends on how you look at it. He just performed his song the way it was wrote. Sure he had an opportunity to say anything he wanted so in that sense, yea

The question is do you go after the flash in the pan moment that will cause a huge blast but possibly wrecking your music career or do you say the line like you wrote it and continue to make more music that has stronger messages than the one off fukk THE POLICE.

It is not a live feed on top of that.

Don't say it at all when it is the lyrics on the song? That doesn't make sense. He was asked to perform the song and he delivered the line exactly like he does on the album.

You can argue that he could or maybe even should've said something. No way you can argue that he should't say a line on the song they asked him to perform because he didn't want to shoot a cop live on stage

Lets get thing straight. I dont care about him not saying that popo line. I care about him profiting off the black power fad that is in lately. Wtf is he doing besides making music? Pac was out there getting harrassed and beat up by the police. Thats a threat. Thats somebody with something to back up their talk. Kendrick gets to play the quiet shy guy with the hippy dress fashion and talk that shyt but when has he ever put up? Bob Marley put up. Pac put up. Others have put up to the point where they endured suffering at the hands of the people Duckworth is talking to in the crowd. Kendrick is a phony rap nikka to me. Its like he has a checklist of things the hotep community wants to hear. But when asked to expound on his music with actual views or SOLUTIONS his PR team hits you nikkas with the. :whoa: Whoa whoa whoa lets just talk music interviewer.

I dont hate Kendrick. I just know a fake nikka when I see one. If I'm a cac/c00n for that so be it. Open your third eye and see past the bullshyt.

How is gettin' harassed and beat up by police for jaywalking... being a threat? :stopitslime: Pac did the same shyt y'all accuse Kendrick of- he talked a whole lot about what needs to be done in the community and he was smart and all that shyt... but he spent the last year of his life declaring war on other black men and women in the music industry and got killed for involving himself in gang shyt. How is this being a threat to establishment or White Amerikkka... they were glad it happened.

Yall loving this fake black power clown show are the same people criticizing hollywood obsession with slave movies. White people love those movies and they loved Kendrick performance. Whats the difference?

White people went to work sayin (damn we didnt know we did blacks so wrong) :mjlol:

Or do you think blacks said (you know what, im proud to be black now :ehh:.

Gtfoh. If you werent proud yesterday that performance didnt change you.

So again I ask, what was powerful about the performance?

Really good comparison...if you're going the Black empowerment route and white people are not outraged...something is definitely up

White folks in high places have MASTERED the psychology of niccaz. They know exactly what to give them.

Straight twisted.......They about to have niccaz looking at images of Martin Luther King saying it's Malcolm X

Down is the new up.
Its funny cus the white man finally let MLK do marches and protests for black rights because they were allowed to control it, as long as it wasnt confrontational black empowerment protesting, like what X was doing.

same shyt Kendrick was doing last night, controlled protest.

MIA to ATL
@SoulPurp watch Marley on netflix. Watch real ones and how they handle business young fella

I went to school with his grandkids down here in Miami. I know of him and his influence. What I wanted to know is what businesses did he start and what legislation did he help get passed? I'll watch the movie tho.
