Why did Kendrick play it safe with " We hate Po Po" line in Grammy performance?

All you Kendrick haters in here, maaan...if not Kendrick, who? :smh:

Who will please y'all?

"He's a fraud"

What do you want from him? Would you rather see Future and Young Thug up there looking like buffoons?

At least he is repping hip-hop respectfully, but I guess y'all want clowns up there dancing for your enjoyment.

:mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls::mjpls:

They reveal themselves too conveniently.

This is why I hate y'all nikkas. I love being black more than anything in the world, but this divisiveness is the shyt that I hate.

The nikka got nominated for SOTY for that song. So clearly, fukking clearly everyone already knows the lyric.

Second of all. I can't even remember the last time something so black and so powerful was performed on the Grammys infront of a international television audience on the biggest night in music.

After all that, you nikkas are in here bickering like women because he left out one line out of dozens and dozens of lines and a visual that surely gives weight to the term "action speaks louder than words"

And y'all nikkas in here complaining about a line? When he talked about Trayvon and everything else? Shameful

Truth is. Y'all don't want a nikka speaking that shyt. Truth is it makes y'all as uncomfortable as it makes whites. They got y'all nikkas so programmed to hate anything and everything that nikkas do

Y'all think it's a coincidence that there's a 20 page thread here, not talking about his performance, but a fukking line he left out? That y'all nitpick that one line instead of appreciating the performance as a whole? 6 minutes of that black shyt. nikka went up there infront of a nation of racist ass white people and did us a service and y'all in here bytching.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. "Koondrick" and all this other fukk shyt. This is a kid from Compton who at the very least is trying to make a change, and once again in this thread like in the world we see that white people aren't the only people in the way of blacks. It's the truth.

nikkas in here complaining about that and have done little to zero work for the community.

Hate some of you nikkas. And I mean that

stop rambling and playing dumb. You know exactly why Kendrick self-censoring himself is problematic.

Anyway, look forward to more poster ducktales where all duckworths are Black musicians who really care about social issues :mjlol:

So you don't agree with the message of the performance?

So it don't bother either one of y'all that you're siding with the white supremacists in being outraged by the performance?

My point was this is a hip hop message board & I asked a simply question. You don't wanna answer because you would have to criticize your hero. You a Canadian female who will never know a black man in America's plight. Probally one of these nikkas alias :pachaha:So take that divisive "divide & conquer" tactic somewhere else:camby:

:comeon:

1) I'm not Canadian.

2) Again, what's your point? Drake doesn't dabble in politics at all and when he "did" that ONE time, it was in reference to fukk boys in the rap game having messed up priorities.

Cops are killing people with their arms up
And your main focus is tryna harm us?

:comeon:

:dame:

So again, what am I supposed to have an opinion about?

3) He also had a few bars in 6PM In New York where some idiots thought he was commenting on politics but it was actually a sneak diss about Kendrick's Control verse.

4) If you're gonna come at me, don't half ass it. I'm not that girl.

You're deflecting. Do you agree with the message of the performance bruh? Thats a yes or no question. And yes you should question yourself if you are in agreement with known white racists and c00ns.

Are you comfortable shytting on dude for delivering a positive message about black pride because of a censored lyric in the middle of a performance that shytted on the prison industrial complex, white supremacy, the killing of black youth and showed love to all the things we claim we want in positive black music? Are you good with that?

Thats not a trick question. That's a yes or no.

You asked two stupid questions, I answered one. I'm half deflecting :sas2:

I didn't watch the performances. If they're anything like the tracks themselves, then there is no message.

Kendrick's music is meaningless and message-less. The moment y'all grow up and realize this, the world will be a better place because then it'll mean you don't fall for flimsy music and fraud marketing.

By the way, social issues are not 'yes or no' type problems nor solutions. But you don't hear me though.

Thought the beginning of the performance was epic. Never was a fan of Alright cause its the most commerical song on the Album so I was kinda disappointed when he performed it.
