i think, again, we are talking about the scope and scale of super powers... here's the first fight scene with super powers

that's goddamn 4-6 minutes of steady fighting and fukking shyt up... the effects, the destruction, the actual reactions from people and not campy joking time... we just watched infinity war with ironman/strange vs children of thanos.... they might have fukked up half the block.... these dudes blew up a small town with a wrestling match.. then the last fight, two people destroy all of manhatten.. even the way they took down the planes was like hulk did it, yet somehow better... and this isn't even the final fight... that's another 10 minute long ordeal

yet we skip to marvel again.... first avengers they fighting a huge alien army, and don't even cause the same amount of destruction... like i said, it's nitpicking... marvel definitely my favorite.. but lets get some more, i know this sounds crazy..... realistic superhero fight scenes :yeshrug:

edit: couldn't even remember thor vs hela... this is great superhero fighting?? a gloried sword fight with two gods

Wow...... there is a lot to unpack with that

Let’s start with the Skipping to Marvel

Of course it wasn’t the same amount of destruction...... per SMH, AoS, and the Netflix shows it was actually MORE destruction and a LOT of people lost their lives from that battle.

Different platforms show different perspectives of the result of that battle and all signs point to “it was VERY devastating.”

Collateral damage of property to me doesn’t fully accurately prove to me that “oh Superman is stronger and can bench press more than Hulk” or etc.

If two 12 years olds fault in your living room and fukked up lamps, flatscreen, gaming systems, glass coffee table, stereo systems and etc..... that doesn’t accurately equate or prove they are as strong as you or other grown men. That just only demonstrates how wreckless and careless they were in you space.

The destruction of a small dinor or a local bank don’t really have me like:gladbron:

And I’m not trynna diminish and minimize every happen there. But at the same time we shouldnt do the same across the lines.

Glorified sword fight? They were atleast fighting with more skill and accuracy to go at “each other” vs waste time and motion swinging ANYTHING. It was more efficient and clean. Also they fought in a more OPEN SPACE! :ld:

yup, they need to use Thor and Hulk the right way. I aint gonna lie though, when Thor made his appearance in Wakanda, I almost started crying

Thor has his moments for sure, but he isn't consistently portrayed as super powerful in the MCU (dude is damn near a street-leveler at times).

that's why I was hoping for some Man of Steel type shyt with Captain Marvel. if Thor wasn't gonna be that guy in the MCU then let Captain Marvel be that OP broken character like Superman is in the DCEU

I think Marvel is doing it right. When you think about the fight scenes in MOS and BvS they are too destructive. It like defeats the purpose of what a hero's goal is. HEROES ARE TRYING TO SAVE LIVES! If that's the goal why would you throw your opponent thru 5 buildings, making them unstable and likely to topple over and kill those inside and anyone on the street below? Why blow up a gas station in the middle of a small town with a limited fire department? It comes off dumb and defeats the overall purpose.
Remember in BvS when WW or Supes (can't remember) blew up like 5 city blocks fighting Doomsday and some military guy had to say the city was evacuated to save the heroes' reputation as a mass murderers. :mjlol:

I need to go back and watch the MOS fights.....

Because other than the punching Zod in air and neck snap..... I can’t remember too much from it.

I’m not saying it wasn’t dope. But it didn’t hold me like “OMG THIS IS THE GREAST shyt EVER”

I though Hulk vs Adomination was dope,
Thor vs Hela was dope
Thor vs Hulk fight 2 was epic
The Airport Scene
All the fights in A3

I mean those are a few that stuck with me.

Side note

One thing though, we can’t have it both ways.

If a hero pretty much washing a villain, cats can’t say “oh the villain was weak” but then when the hero is struggling or barely defeating a villain “oh the hero was nerfed”

It’s like those 2 cards constantly get played depending on the agenda

I think that's what's good about the MCU fights is that both heroes and villains are competent and there's no plot-induced stupidity or depowering (for the most part).

The Cull Obsidian / Ebony Maw vs Strange, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Wong was really well done. Everybody got their hits in and it went as you would expect competent people to behave.

There's another benefit of not blowing your load all in the first movie too *cough cough* DC. Ain't but so many times your can see all that damn destruction and not get numb to it and want some actual plot :mjlol:. Doomsday over here doing extra and the whole reason is because of some Martha shyt:stopitslime: :russ:.

Now I was disappointed that Thor hadn't really got a chance to shine for 2 movies yet. I expect King Thor to put in some work for A4

I could've sworn that Bruce drew Doomsday to an abandoned island near of Gotham.

I thought the "Captain Marvel" trailer was :ld: but we haven't seen enough to say anything either way about the fight scenes.

"MOS" was cool but the fight scenes were basically "Dragon Ball Z". If you like DBZ :manny: cool but I'd much rather see some crazy shyt like Thanos vs Dr. Strange on Titan than 5 minutes of people throwing each other through buildings.

I too nearly shed a tear at thus

The whole team was catching the beats and then here come Thor the Gawd opening bifrosts like a true g

That jump in the air, the music drop and the sky darkening around my boy right before he came down

I was like THAT'S the son of Odin I been waiting to see

Cap and Bruce on the battlefield like :wtf: and :ohhh:

One of the most epic scenes in the entire MCU :banderas:

Snyder-less DC films have crappy fight scenes also

ppl can hate on Snyder all they want but he gave us visual piff

there has not been a single comic book fight that was more exciting than Zod vs Superman since it dropped and there probably never will be until Synder starts doing superhero flicks again
