you're obviously far removed from what these kids who bang deal with on the daily basis, which is constant fear of not only police but fear of Black men who look just like them, how can they distinguish the Black people who are their comrades from the Black people from a few miles away who want to kill them, they can't because they all look alike, which is why it's that much easier for innocent people to get killed because of mistaken identity. I'm a Black male with long dreadlocks, and I live in Houston, I sometimes hang in an impoverished area where my family lives and my life is in danger when I'm there simply because of how I look, not only to other Black men, but to white people who think I look like a thug.

This shyt goes all the way back to slavery. Divide and conquer and keep em ignorant are literally the oldest tricks in the book. I find it truly amazing how those basic ass principles are still wreaking havoc on black folks to this day. I have worked with young gang members and drug dealers and jack boys and the story is pretty much the same...it's all they know. They don't really value themselves or life so thusly they don't value your life or the fate of the community as a whole. Honestly I can't even be mad at them because they honestly just don't know. I take issue with those amongst us that do know better who either do nothing or worse yet actually contribute to the ignorant shyt that is going on for selfish gain. We gotta stop questioning the blackness of people who speak well and seek education and aren't "down". Well a lot of these cars don't give a fukk because systematic white supremacy has socially engineered them not to. When you are born and raised in a society where white supremacy/black inferiority is beaten into your head its inevitable that you're going to eternalize some of that.
