Ain't nothing wrong with being an adult and just enjoying the company of women, it has its benefits. You got serious problems if sweating your "homegirls" is your only hope of p*ssy though.
I never continue to persue a woman that makes it clear she doesn't look at me like that but I have remained cool with women that ended up not being compatible on a relationship level. And that's not a bad thing because they will either give a female perspective on women you meet or know women that are your type that share you interests and would feel you.

The only reason to have a female friend is if
A) you grew up with one
B) you stumbled into a friendship with one (casual friendship)
C) you don't have any close female family members that you can get a female POV from.
D) Status symbol and or for current social events.
Outside of that its a headache aint worth it...

Unless she friendzoned you as a back up, A) is never going to happen if you stick around. As far as E) goes, never ever take a females advice on woman. Never. I learned to not even listen to my own sister when it comes to advice on woman.

There is no such thing as the friend zone. You can call rejection whatever you want but when a woman rejects your advances and you continue to hang around post rejection you aren't in a zone you're just a guy she's not into that doesn't know how to take a hint.
