We haven't created or originated anything in our entire existence breh.
Matter of fact...
I'm stealing your response to this very post as we speak.
Smh
I took a music history course in school, and the amount of music stolen from blacks was unbelievable.
Black artist would have a hit song on the charts and they would just steal it word for word...
Even my teacher (white lady) was disgusted by it.
They do have a culture but its very boring and unfulfilling.
Music- Nothing exciting. EDM was a black thing dont let them try to tell you Skrillex invented EDM. I'll give them classical music but again its not something you listen when you are having a good time... .
Imperialism isn't in any one groups DNA.imperialist mentality. It's in their DNA.
the only thing I give white people credit for is early electronic based music & classical musical
yeah my grandfather told me I was shock at how many of my classmates ( the school I went to was 90% percent black) didn't know black people invented rock n roll and jazz
I didn't realize the extent of the theft of Black people music in America until I read an article on Country music a few years back. I had no idea that what we know as Blue Grass/Country Music was actually a music form created by Black people/Slaves, which they played in the minstrel shows. It was very popular music for it's day. White people heard it and liked the music and they started playing it and they added their folk songs from their old country. Then I learned that the banjo (banjar) which is at the heart of Country/Blue Grass music is actually from Africa; and the slaves built them when they got to America. They taught the White people how to play it. The Slaves also made and played fiddles as soon as they arrived in America.
The strangest part is that Ray Charles had one of the highest selling country album of all time. People said that he crossed over to make it, but it was obvious that he didn't. He was actually playing the music of Black people but obviously people had forgotten that Black people created and used to play country music, which in retrospect is probably Blues music which is probably where we get Blue Grass. The amount of art that Africans have brought to America is simply unbelievable.

I made a thread two days ago about supporting a black female country artists and ignorance ran rampant in the thread.
And sadly it's ignorance amongst our own ppl
Why are you so obsessed with white ppl? half of the posts on this forum.... white ppl this, white ppl that. It's so sad but at the same time.
And lol at not having a culture.... i'll take art and literature over twerking anytime. You are some delusional losers
It is true that it is ignorance from our own people, but to be honest Black people are so talented and make so much music that it is probably easy to forget that we are the creators of a music form like Country/Blue Grass music. After all not many black people still play the banjo, so you would be hard pressed to impress upon young Black people that their ancestors that brought that instrument to this country. We are an ignorant people, but our victories start with awareness.
