A lot of the complaints fans had about recent halo games were taken to the max in destiny.
Halo Reach's complaints come from the game being utter shyt. The power-ups needed better balancing if they were gonna add them. A lot of what made Halo's gameplay fun and great was the battle for power weapons and positions. The focus in Reach was taken away when people could spawn with snipers. The bloom was also a huge failure of a mechanic. I'm fine with bloom in shooting games, when done right(see Shadowrun on the 360, a true hidden gem). For Halo to be the kind of game that it was, Reach simply went backwards with a lot of the gameplay choices. Sprint and camo should NEVER be power-ups/perks in any video game, that shyt is whack as fukk. The jetpack wasn't a big deal IMO because it made you an easy target if you used it stupidly. The barrel roll was whack as hell and rewarded aggressive behavior in ways sprint never could. And you got that shyt EVERY spawn.
Reach had a ton of issues, period, and not many of them transferred over to Reach in the same manner, because the gameplay in both games is changed a great amount. Level design in Destiny is much much much better than the bullshyt they had in Reach.
They fixed the bloom on Reach though. I enjoyed Reach a lot online.
Bloom's major issue was that it wasn't based on motion, and was inconsistent from the jump. It didn't require the type of skill they were aiming for. When they finally introduced the no bloom mode, that was great, but that game still had other bad design issues that make it the worst Halo ever IMO. I never understood the hate on H4 from people when Reach clearly holds that title for WOAT.
