We’ve seen countless third party developers now come out and say how the PS5 is going to be revolutionary and very excited to work with it, especially the SSD, yet very few developers have come out saying the same for Series X. Why’s that? :jbhmm:

You’d think a 12TF powerhouse machine will have developers gushing over it yet they’ve been very lukewarm over it :sas2:

The reason is that Sony unlike Microsoft, actually went to the developers and asked them what they wanted the most for next gen and SSD was the most requested feature which Sony delivered.

Microsoft on the other hand thought pure power would be enough with some minimal SSD attached and so it’s no surprise that developers are happy with the PS5 because they finally have a console that’ll enable them to do things they’ve always dreamed of but didn’t have the tech which they now do, so of course they’ll be singing the PS5 praises. Microsoft dropped the ball big time here.

Not one 3rd party developer outside of Tim Sweeney has said much about the consoles. NDAs have been signed and people are following them.

All we have is a bunch of Sony stans that keep repeating “countless devs praise PS5”

Y’all create these narratives yourselves then run with them.

Reality is devs are quiet right now cause they have to be.

PlayStation 5 Hype: All The Great Things Developers Have Said About PS5
‘PS5 SSD Setup Is ‘A Big Deal,’ – John Carmack, Oculus – May 2020

“Yes, being able to load GPU formatted data directly into GPU memory from an SSD is a Big Deal. Copying the data to the VP4100 M.2 PCIE4 SSD then reads at 4330 MB/s! Using normal buffered IO, the SATA is at 464 MB/s cold, the M.2 is 2410 MB/s cold, and both are 6500 MB/s from file cache. Unbuffered is now a big deal.”

After revealing Unreal Engine 5 earlier today, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney dished praise on the PlayStation 5, describing Sony’s next-generation console as ‘absolutely phenomenal’. In particular, Sweeney seemed especially taken with the PS5’s high end architecture, not only heaping praise on the console’s GPU and CPU spec but also in singling out the PlayStation 5’s SSD as the “the best on any platform

Sony and Cerny pulled a genius move - they've created a faster AND no doubt cheaper console and taken all talk away from terraflops and all that other shyt M$ was going on about.

As for Lockheart, shyt probably got cancelled - nobody is interested in paying anything for a next gen experience that isn't even next gen. :russ:

M$ misjudged the hardcore gaming fanbase horribly - we want next gen AAA games, something new, something that makes you go :wow:. Sony are the ones that are promising to give us that.:takedat:

Moreover nobody interested in the shyt games M$ got coming the first two years of their Series X - new Halo hamstrung by this no generation bullshyt, Forza 10 or whatever, Fable been dead forever and is being ressurected by driving game developers (some :troll: shyt). And then you have Ninja Theory and their "looks pretty but plays like straight trash" games...:comeon:

As for those dozen or AA 7/10 game making studios they bought in the space of a year garage sale style, I can see that shyt being a great success with M$'s renowned studio management. :troll:

Basically Sony is peak HBO while M$ are Netflix status, if Netflix released nothing but those trash ass Marvel programs.

One thing i noticed is the 12TF boasting seems to have subsided right after that UE5 tech demo was shown. The topic naturally shifted and now SSD and how the PS5's setup is so good dominates the conversation. I suspect things to either get worse(from Xbox fan's pov) if the upcoming PS5 event showcases some game changers or the SSD talk to slow down if games are shown that at first glance doesn't seem different to the average gamer.
