Why are there no undisputed champions in boxing right now?

No one cares about unifying. If it happens, it's because it made the most financial sense at the time. Boxing is a business. Making the most money possible is the priority. Being the best is just a bonus.

I can't stand this era's of inactivity. These guys only fight once or twice a year, so it would take forever to unify anyway.

Ain't nobody trying to pay all of them sanctioning fees anyway.

Besides, in pretty much every division everybody knows who the "man" is, so it's really not THAT big of a deal.

Its very much that a big of a deal, it robs the fighters of today to chase history, like @ChocolateGiddyUp stated at 25 Garcia should have been undisputed twice, thats no hype show like GGG, Matthyse and Canelo, thats history bro, record book shyt, and organizations who do shyt but collect checks anyway is playing God with nikkas who risk their lives fight after fight.......

Mandatory challengers make this hard as fukk. Joe Calzaghe should've been an undisputed champ but the IBF stripped him because he didn't fight Steiglitz
I lost a lot of respect for all the sanctioning bodies when they robbed Tarver and Johnson of their place in history. That was some bullshyt

Really, Garcia vs. Matthysse should've been for the undisputed title but the fact that they had to make the Peterson fight at a catchweight because of the fakkit ass IBF fukked that up

A king aint a king without a crown.

We need a list of all Broner's play brothers that he won't fight: off the top of my head I can think of Floyd, Alexander and Danny Garcia.

His "bros" are Floyd Mayweather Jr, Devon Alexander, and Lamont Pederson. Hell, Kevin Cunningham calls AB his "nephew":yeshrug:

He'll fight Danny Garcia for that Green Belt though:ufdup:

@ChocolateGiddyUp :demonic:

:whoa:

We just dont have that fight, um, on our agenda right now:lupe:

@Newzz you enjoying this FSU season so far :whew:

Breh.....I'm LOVING it:ohlawd:

Like I said before, I feel I'ma jinx for my boys:to: so I try and hold back on posting about em too often during the season.

Everytime I start bragging, we lose to random teams (NC States/WFs):snoop:

My lips are sealed until after the ACC Championship game:lupe:

I say this as someone who has been around professional fighters. I would love if fighters unified, but it isn't a priority.

These fighters chase money. These guys only fight once or twice a year & in each fight, they want to make the most money as possible.

Let's say your only going to fight once in 2014. That's your only paycheck. Are you gonna fight the biggest draw who doesn't have a title or the guy with a title for less money?

Boxing is a business first, sport second. When you follow boxing, you have to wire your brain to remember that.

I can't remember which boxer said this, I believe it was Larry Holmes. They said if you want to be the best, you fight in the amateurs. Boxing is prizefighting.

Reality is if you chase the money, you'll have to run into top fighters eventually.
