These dumb Egyptians got this insane military worship..

Shyt is worse than the US.

Not a chance in hell that happens. Honestly they been tryina exterminate the MB for 50+ years, these guys perfected the art of self preservation through jail, torture, being outlawed, shunned by society but their grassroots movement is :wow:, and their leadership is slick and knows how to play the game.

the same police officers who tortured their sons are having flowers draped around their necks

I was watching you tube videos, and I swear to God, the fukking anchors are in tears of joy when Sisi made his announcement.

Impromptu standing ovations and singing of anthems

The Islamic world of the last 80 years is characterized by the elite secular bubbles of the capital city condescendingly oppressing/marginalizing/ignoring the poor conservative masses at their own peril

Egypt will be no different

Conflicted about it. I think they should have respected the democratic process and allowed them to rule. At the same time, they were moving in a direction that was essentially spitting in the face of the secular and Christian populations that shed blood in the street as well. Ultimately, I have to side with leaving a democratically elected official hold office, and I usually feel this way unless a case presents itself where the entire system is rigged/flawed (and thus is not truly a democratic process).

My two Christian friends in Egypt (only friends I know that are there now) are elated by it. One of them was in fear of the MB. Anyone know the backstory on this? Is it just a difference of religions or are there political ties to this? He only told me that "they don't like each other" but in the initial protests I saw them side by side for the most part.

Americans should understand we are extremely involved in any country that we can mold for U.S. interests. Sadly Bullets and Gas Canisters that are killing the protestors are coming from the U.S.( companies).

Basically. They should have just bit the bullet and let the president serve out his term. Now his supporters feel cheated and the idea democracy has lost all credibility.

If the brotherhood can hold on and show the courage they have been showing its only a matter of time before people will start to take notice and aid them. At least I hope that's what happens. Finally an anti Zionist governments comes to power in the Middle East and the rest of the Arab fags feel threatened and with the help of the Gulf and Israel they decide to massacre them. But this is far from over, its just the beginning of a global jihad that will spread like wild fire and sweep the region.
