Why are you proposing hypothetical questions? Anyways a Mexican person being raised around Black people doesn't mean appropriation is naturally occurring, that's not even appropriation.

Appropriation is a form of exploitation. Nobody said being interested in Black culture is a villainous act, but at the same rate that's the same point appropriators begin at. If a mexican person adopts mannerisms, fashion, music and interests and then gives no credit to the people that formed his interests yes they're appropriating.

Not all appropriation is done with the intent to exploit

The WOAT era :picard:

Black fashion ain't distinctive from white fashion anymore outside of some big cities. For instance, a whiteboy would look pretty dumb wearing a Pelle leather but those are popular mostly in the black community in NYC, Detroit and the Chi. Back in the day, a whiteboy with a 6XL Galaxy tee and a du rag would be clowned on and be a pariah in the white community. But that was black fashion coast to coast. Now, every one wears Jordans and black fashion is seen as wearing Trues and Versace tees. But both True Religion and Versace are cac owned for cacs by cacs.

Why not wear Earth, Wind & Fire or Isley Brothers shirts?

Oh, that's right, you want to impress white people. "Look, I'm totally awesome sauce!:gladbron:"

I'ma buy me a Jeffrey Osborne shirt and rock it with pride
People follow trends without thinking.

It's a trend to wear rock group shirts now.

Yes, black people should definitely rock black artist shirts, but most people barely think.. they follow.

Also: Kanye rocking confederate flags has a lot to do with this.. it made it 'ok' for certain black people to rock clearly white things
