your right once Rose got hurt it shifted the eastern conference in their favor and they still didn't exactly have an easy way into the finals. They kind of struggled with the pacers and an Old celtics team

their test will be the youthful Thunder...If they can beat them then they earned the title for sure. If not then they are starting to look like the Bills from 1990-1994

it's pretty impressive when you consider the heat have one of the smallest and weakest front courts in the league.

Of course the ATL
You know if you ever get tired of mediocrity, there's a little room over here :mjpls: I've seen the work you've put in on rival teams and their fans, its appreciated

Appreciate it, but its ATL for life. For better or worse :sadcam:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Knicks were the 5th ranked defense in the league
Pacers were the 9th ranked defense in the league
Celtics were the 1st ranked defense in the league

I think it was impressive holding on without Bosh as long as they did, and I honestly thought they didn't have the resolve to come back from 3-2, last years Heat would have wilted under the pressure in Boston for game 6 and got blown out by 20. I truthfully thought they were done, so it was impressive to come back.

2 years going to NBA Finals is impressive, regardless of the road to getting there.

and if you wanna keep it 100, the only thing impressive about OKC's run was how they came back vs. San Antonio, because the first 2 series weren't that difficult in retrospect, ESPECIALLY the first round matchup.

First round matchup was 4 close games :stopitslime:

this team has to win it all. otherwise it means nothing.

You beat the Knicks who had ONE player basically all series, the Pacers who have zero go to guys (and the series was a struggle) and you barely beat in 7 games (with one game handed to you by the refs) an old crippled Celtics team. I mean the SIXERS the SIXERS took this team to 7 and you needed 7 to beat them? :russ:

Meantime the Thunder were dispatching of the reigning champs, Kobe, and the team with the best record in the league who had won 20 in a row (rather easily)

How can this series be close unless you get help from the refs? Which I expect will happen but still....

Remember the Celtics went 7 games with a Hawks team in the first round that was under .500 the same year they won the title. Doesn't matter what road, who you beat, or how many games it took because that's all irrelevant if they beat OKC

are you implying that the

knicks is better than the mavs

pacers are better than the lakers

celtics is better than the spurs

?

everyone also fail to realize that in the playoffs we are damn near identical with boston with opp FG% at .429 for boston and .434 for us.While boston played sub-par offensive teams we played dallas, LA and SA. the whole east defensive #s as a whole is overrated because the opposing scoring talent on the floor.

Also I love how just 3 weeks ago ,btw i can go pull up post everyone was stating thunder had no chance against the spurs/lakers etc, and now beating the spurs wasn't nothing :rudy:

The Pacers were a better team this year than the Lakers.

Celtics/Heat is a true rivalry that was just a hard fought series.

50% of this was done without the Heat's 3rd best player

And finally, I'm subbing this thread so when the Heat hoist up the trophy you'll be back here saying the same thing "Why are dudes acting like the Heat did something impressive? "

Pacers better than the Lakers ? :what:

nah If they beat OKC its impressive UNLESS there is a blatantly fixed game a la game 2 vs the Celtics. I meant up to this point. If this series is called fairly (which I have no confidence it will be) I think the Thunder win easy

But I remember repeatedly seeing you post that they would lose....so how is it not impressive that they won?

when did I say they would lose to the Celtics? I said they wouldnt win it all. When you form a superteam and expect easy titles, unless you win it all it means nothing

That was one series and the Hawks were healthy at least. By the East finals the Celts stopped playing and won in 6.
