Because democrats keep calling them latinx:troll:

On a serious note, I think it's racism. When the white population dwindles and cacs technically become minority in America, they know they can/(already do)
fill the void and claim white as their ethnicity/race

The primary motivation for conservative voting is negative beliefs about minorities. I'm not just saying that either, there have been many academic studies on the subject.

The responses in this thread are on point

Basically, most of them view themselves as white, and they are socially conservative

I also want to add that focusing on immigration and undocumented immigrants does not garner as much appeal among Latinos as Dems think it does

Most Latinos feel negatively towards the whole LatinX inclusive shyt that nobody asked for, and are socially as conservative as ADOS is or even more since 90 percent of Latinos are Catholic or some variant of it. And most feel the Democrat party is sliding way too far Left since historically socialism has fukked up multiple Latin American countries and divided society there. Obama captured half of the Cuban American vote twice, only democrat to do that but both Hilary and Joe have ignored Latin America. Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela are hardcore communist dictatorships, while Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil are either semi-socialist or about to reelect a socialist (Lula) and nobody tryna hear that shyt. Even places like DR and Colombia that are historically right wing strongholds are having Leftist movements pop up. Latinos dont want that to happen to the US and politicians like AOC, Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar are way too visible for the Dems, while Biden is seen as an inept senile old man whose botching Latin America and practically giving it away to China on a silver platter.
So you’re somehow comparing left-wing parties in Latin America to the Democratic left which is nowhere near that far and you’re also basically just admitting that the Latinos who immigrate here are the ones with money who were conservatives in their homelands.

No they werent conservatives, theyre refugees who literally dont want anything to do with the left and won't touch anything slightly to the left with a ten foot pole. Thats why they vote repub not cause they wholeheartedly support the policies but its literally a "fukk anything remotely close to the left " mindstate for most of them. They wouldnt know enough about the American political system. Most of my Latino immigrant friends who are cuban, colombian, and venezuelan were pro dem but like most white americans and ados, theyve made a shift to the center and even some have gone full right after biden went in. And Im talking about young ppl too not hardcore conservatives. Also at least in countries like cuba/venezuela/nicaragua there is no "conservative" party or movement like you think, its a 1 party system, youre a revolutionary or your apolitical, nobody has any knowledge about conservatism because thats literally outlawed in these places, so they come here and end up gravitating towards that as a "fukk you" psychologically to the former regime they escaped from. Chinese people do the same shyt nobody actually votes local or knows about state politics like redlining or the party switch that made the republicans conservative and implicitly racist for the most part. For me the 2nd generation Latinos that want to blend in with whiteness and still weaponize their miniority status along with their racism are the real enemy/problem. The Ted Cruz type people, you cant save them cause theyve internalized that acting white even if it means voting against immigrants like theyre own parents is the way to success.

What’s the first thing the average person on the street thinks when you ask them what do democrats stand for? Exactly.

Dems have a branding issue like it or not, put all these fakkits back in the closet and start talking bread and butter issues and stay focused on healthcare, economy and yes doing something about immigration.

Believe it or not most of this country is still somewhat religious/traditional. Know your audience, unlike black folks Hispanics are not tied to the democrat party at the hip so you can’t start drifting too far for them to back lash. You can’t use the same imaging for white liberals and minorities. It’s been proven time and time again it does not work.

Oh and the trans issue is a massive L, outside of Twitter nobody is cheering for their daughters to get bodied by transformers in sports. Should have gotten in front of this early but naturally the democrats do what they do best and fukk it up and allow republicans to control the narrative. :yeshrug:
